Let's Talk... (This Group is actively moderated)

Good day everyone,

I have been thinking about the direction of this group, and due to recent events, I have noticed the inactivity of the group which caused me some concern. Regarding this; I have been thinking about revamping the structure, if not the definition of the group.

I have a feeling that making this group an actual depression/help group will eventually lead to malicious intentions. I want to make this group a safe environment for people to meet with others alike and be able to create new friendships; if not find a few new people to socialize with.

I’ve not been able to moderate the group like I wished to which caused absence; therefore, I wish to make a difference in that regard. Especially considering a group like this, on a gaming platform, which is generally used for gaming it would be a bad idea to promote a self-help group. As generally with anonymity, as well as the gaming community, users separate emotional attachments with distanced communications. Taking advantage of strong subject matters, using it as a breeding ground for malicious entertainment; seeking on distressing members rather than supporting them.

In the end this group promotes itself as a suicide prevention group. Therefore, a group like that doesn’t seem fit for a platform like this.

This doesn’t mean that the purpose of the group goes away; it just gains a different definition. Therefore, I will be guiding it in a different direction. As said prior; people will be able to socialize if not find new friendships. A group of social interactions so to say.

In the meantime, a lot of changes will be made; this regards the group itself and the Discord. Which everyone will be notified of; there will be multiple updates about this throughout the month; so you’ll not be left in the dark.
