Allow me to take a minute of your time to explain why we are closing the GBB500 DayZ Origins Server.

The server will become inactive on the 22/08/2013

Apologies to any of our German/Russian players if you are unabble to 100% understand this, please have somebody translate for you.

When we started our subscription with GTX Gaming [the hosts of the server] we had a ridiculous amount of problems with the server. These problems ranged from the server being locked out, to complete database wipes/deletion. Furthermore, I can tell you that the customer service we recieved from GTX was well below average, we expected more from paying £34.00 a month.

The main reason why we are cancelling our subscription for the DayZ Origins Server is that we were promised access to the database around three months ago, as well as an update to 1.8 around one month ago. Basically the way we see it [along with the majority of the DayZ Community] is that the developers of Origins really don't give a damn abbout keeping the people that play their mod updated. And on top of that, the service from GTX is not worth paying for.

The plan moving forward is to promote the already successful [GB500] [UK] Steam Community Breaking Point Server, and have as many of our old player come back to us on this mod.

The reason we have decided to open the Breaking Point Server is that DayZ.ST have started hosting/supporting the mod. As some of you know they are probably the best server host for DayZ around.

We also plan to open a DayZ Aftermath server as the other admins and I are donating to the development of this mod. It's basically a better, more stable, better developed version of Origins. The devlopers are speaking to us directly, and keeping us updated on everything they are doing.

We will shortly be recieving database access to the Breaking Point Server, and when we do any of the players/survivors that post/comment below will recieve a custom loadout of their choice for every time they spawn. [there will be a list of spwan packages to choose from] This is a way of us saying thank you for sticking with us as we drive our community forward.
