First in the Field

Founded in 1914, the PPCLI was a force to be reckoned with. They were initially composed of veterans. Their history is one of honour, bravery, and victory. We honour them by keeping their memory alive.

The PPCLI was the first Canadian battalion to go to the western front during The Great War, or World War One. They soon developed a reputation for being outstanding and resilient troops. The Germans often feared a major attack when they heard the PPCLI were massing on the other side of no man's land. If you go to the western front to look at historical sites, the PPCLI are commemorated on many of those sites.

The PPCLI is a regiment for fun and competitive play. I am located in Toronto, Canada, but regiment members can be from anywhere. In fact, the original PPCLI had 24 Americans who had fought in the Spanish American war.

We play matches and casual games on Sundays at 8pm EST/EDT

The general ideas for the regiment are as follows:

North American servers.
Entente squads only.
Team play essential. In game voice chat will be used for squads. When there are more than one squads playing, NCOs will coordinate between squads using other means.
Respect for other players enforced. No racism. No insulting. No whining.
Adults only.
Skill level is not important. You will improve with time. We want nice and fun people, not skilled but irritating people.

This Regiment is strictly for fun.

We will be competing in tournaments and challenging other groups to matches, but purely on a voluntary basis. No pressure.

Interested in competitive play? We have competitive team in the Verdun League. We will play 1 game a week. Times are negotiated between competing team leaders. We have enough players, but we need subs in case people can't make it. If you are even thinking of playing just one competitive match, please register at the Verdun League and add the PPCLI as your team. You need to be registered for more than 1 week to be able to play.
