Disclosure: I have spent a total of $20 on Warface and have received the Golden SIG pistol as a purchase reward. I have been hesitant to add money to my account, but I would say that the in-game purchases are worth their value.

Warface is a slightly outdated game. It's graphics are still great, but the UI, netcode, and matchmaking are what really suffer. It was just recently announced on 1/20/20 that over-halls for each of these can be expected within the year.

It offers a unique FPS PVE experience for many different skill levels. It also has a somewhat unconventional PVP experience. Unfortunately, to get the most out of these gamemodes, a high level account is required and the user must be in a clan. The high level account is just a matter of playtime, while being in a clan is critical.

If you do not play with clan members, randoms will not have the proper equipment, know the proper strats, and often a language barrier is encountered. The Warface discord does help this issue, but there is a massive barrier between EU and NA users.

If you want to purchase premium weapons and armor, don’t feel pressured. It’s never worth opening premium crates if you don’t have the extra cash. I recommend waiting till holiday sales where golden weapons can go from 10-40% off direct purchases. You never to gamble, you just need to be patient.

Overall, starting Warface is rough experience, but it is a really fun game if you get into it. I would recommend it to mainly people 20-30+ who are looking for a highly interactive game with a mostly laid back atmosphere. Again, I can’t stress enough how important being in an active clan is.
