I will put this at the top of everything and just say that this is the best story driven single player experience I have ever played.

When I first saw this game it was the beginning of the summer sale and it kept catching my eye, and I didn’t pay much attention to it until I saw in one of the trailers “A hand crafted solar system” no Procedurally generated planets or ♥♥♥♥. Everything in this game, everything you do or see was meant to be done or seen. The game allows you to be free in exploring at your own pace with no cut scenes or scripted events. It's the theory of the story unfolding around you rather than you being explicitly told the story. The only bit I will say about the story of the game is that you are a newly developed species that has created the ability to travel the solar system, what you learn quickly is that in the solar system there is ruins of a civilization and their writing, and you are the first to make space flight equipped with tool to translate the text. This game tosses you in head first and taps into the human yearning to explore and truly makes you feel you are uncovering huge discoveries. The atmosphere is dense, the sound design is extraordinarily great, and the way you piece together facts and rumors will have you randomly thinking about trying things and hypothesizing at work or when going to bed, eager to play and discover, a feeling I have not felt about a game since my childhood. I strongly recommend going into this game blind as knowing anything about the game will seriously ruin the joy of discovery. You can feel the passion that went behind this piece of art, and it makes for a glorious breath of fresh air after all the soulless games and cash grabs on the market.
