Hitman 3,

The dramatic conclusion of the World of Assassination trilogy, is a stealth game developed by IO Interactive. You control Agent 47, a genetically-engineered assassin, navigating various locations to eliminate specific targets. Hitman 3 offers a sandbox-style environment with multitudinous assassination strategies, fostering creativity and freedom.

Review

One of the core strengths of Hitman 3 is its abundance of content per level. Despite initially seeming straightforward, every mission is full of intricate side objectives, each prompting the player to undertake more exploration and innovative problem-solving. Completing each level, including the main and side objectives, can easily take over an hour, offering a deep gameplay experience.

The game's difficulty is another commendable aspect. It successfully tests player's patience and coordination, especially at normal difficulty. I find it exciting to see what the highest difficulty has to offer. Collectively, it took me around 20 hours to complete both Hitman 2 & 3, bundled in this package (having completed Hitman 1 previously).

The settings offer an extensive selection of graphics options, with comprehensive controller support. While the main menu could benefit from an upgrade, its complexity is understandable, given the amalgamation of three games and multiple game modes.

The audio experience is standard but effective, with the suspenseful soundtrack immersing me further into the game world.

The addition of leaderboards, showing global and friends' stats, introduces a competitive element, pushing players to achieve higher scores and faster completion times.

Each level comes with its unique achievement, alongside others tied to mastery levels. However, the game lacks Steam trading cards, and consequently, no Steam badge is available. It does, though, support Steam Cloud and offers additional cloud saving through an IO account.

Considering the pricing, the $70 tag might seem hefty despite the inclusion of three games. However, it often features in Steam Sales, where it can be bought for a more reasonable price. Notably, this price does not cover the last few levels of Hitman 2.

Conclusion

Hitman 3 delivers an immersive stealth experience, with each game in the bundle only getting better. Each level is highly replayable and accompanied by a wealth of community-created content and varied game modes. The game excellently caters to players who enjoy exploring and strategizing within an open-world setup, albeit limited. Despite its high price point, the depth and versatility it offers makes it worth considering. I recommend Hitman 3 to any player who seeks a rich and rewarding gaming experience, with a penchant for stealth and exploration.
