I’ve played Apex for years and honestly, the game should be in the best spot it’s ever been. Respawn has been putting out solid content lately: new legends, maps, events and game modes, and on paper it keeps looking better. I’ll give them that.

But here’s the thing: none of that matters when the actual playability is in the gutter. Take my last match for example: me and my squad lost to a full team of cheaters. These guys were hitting 9 headshots in a row from 73m away, never missing, never hitting body shots. All three of us died to them multiple times, we revived six times just trying to fight back, and every single time they beamed us the moment we peeked. I got finished and what did i see? One had 29 kills, the others had 18 and 12, all headshots. Whole lobby dominated and ruined by one team.

Tell me how that’s fun? Tell me how you can call the game "good" when this is happening? It’s insane how relaxed Apex is about cheaters. It doesn’t matter how much content you pump out if people can just load in and wallhack/aimbot their way to free wins. And even with all their attempts and stats that show "oh hackers are less", 1-2 out of 10-15 matches is me dying to a blatant hacker. when did it get this bad?? Why do they ignore my reports? Why do people get suspended for 2 weeks for saying "♥♥♥♥♥♥" when cheaters are running rampant? I mean just a few weeks ago there were hackers DDOS-ing players off lobbies to get free wins.

And cheating isn’t even the only issue. Servers are a mess — half the time you boot up and get stuck with "-1 ping / 100% packet loss" until you restart the whole game and pray the auto-select fixes itself. Then when you do get in, you’re waiting ten minutes on "party processing" where you can’t even invite friends. That’s not gameplay, that’s wasting time in a broken lobby. And this is assuming a crash doesn't happen., forcing all this to start over again.

And don’t even get me started on the monetization. Apex’s predatory monetization methods are a big no-no. Skins and cosmetics are wildly overpriced, and it’s honestly sickening. Sure, you don’t have to buy anything, but that’s no excuse for running predatory systems and having everything overpriced.

And all of this is what’s killing it for me. I’ve been a whale for this game, regrettably spent way too much money over the years, but now I can’t even finish the battle pass anymore. I want to enjoy it, I really do, but compared to when Apex was peaking, it’s just not fun. Sure, it’s a some what better than last year, but not enough to make me want to grind. Honestly, unless something changes with the cheating and server problems, I’ll probably drop it next season.

And if the devs don’t get on top of these problems then many more players are gonna go, as evadant with the player count.

Yes .. but only short-term. It’s absolutely worth trying just to see what it’s about, especially with all the different abilities and how unique each legend feels. Apex is a classic must-play at least once for that aspect alone. But if you’re looking for your next main FPS / battle royale to grind long-term? I can’t honestly recommend it in its current state.

Simple. I have to vote one way or the other, and it’s not like their "support team" can do anything. At this point I’m not even sure they exist. It’s either no response at all, or a bot reply telling you to "read the rules" or "we can’t help you.

Apex is worth a try for the unique legends and abilities, but long-term it’s cheaters, bad servers, overpriced skins, and frustration. Don't bother getting involved and invested.
