In the Demon Realm, that is still hardly over a youth; my elders find me irresponsible, driven by curiosity instead of slow patience our kind is known for. But I am not capable of stopping myself. My wings yearn for distant skies, my scales burn for new sensations. The same shadows that encase my talons tell me of worlds beyond imagination. And I tear asunder gates to the stars, questing for realms unknown to any demon.

My first quest led me to Thalorax, a world of perpetual storm. There, lightning stitched the heavens like a million silver wounds, and winds shrieked so loudly they stripped stone from mountains. I flew over oceans of bubbling molten metal, the electric fury embracing me. The force made my black-and-red coat stand on end, and every burst of lightning rang as a laughter within me. When I left, sparks still arced in my wake, burning the ground where I had walked, tasting the pure energy of the storm.

From Thalorax, I traveled to Ysera, a world tilted all of emerald forest glowing under twin moons. The air was studded with gentle magic, scented with the scent of flowers I'd never known. I wandered through massive trees, my claws scratching mossy ground barely at all, listening to the gentle hum of life. It was a world of peace, a soft world that was like a dream compared to the fire that typically burns in my veins. I stayed long enough only to fix in my mind the glow of the leaves and the taste of chilled moonlight before the stars called me onward.

My next destination was Kaelun, a world of crystal spires that touched the farthest edges of space. The entire world sparkled like shattered diamonds in distant suns. I strode among the spires, and my reflection shattered into a million shards of black and crimson. I stood atop a tower that towered so high it touched into paper-thin sky, gazing out into a glass-glinting horizon. In silence, I was a creature of night and a shard of starlight, pulled between two worlds.

And now, I cling at the threshold of yet another portal, its swirling darkness pulling at my wings. I have seen storms and woods and crystal cities, but there remain an infinite number of worlds for my claws to carve new paths. My elders may blame me for being impatient, but I know the truth: there is just too much magic in the universe for even a demon lord of 3,472 years to see it all. And so I fly, and fly again, for I am Zephyx and I was born to ride the stars.
