Honestly, it regrets me to say this because I do genuinely love old games and I do genuinely think the newer Bethesda games are quite boring but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is so ass.

My perspective is this:
Boomer friends always rave on about how good this game is and you just need to get over the fact it's not got voiced dialogue or questmarkers.

I've played plenty of games that are not voiced dialogue and which have no quest markers, I'm not amazingly gifted when it comes to this stuff but I've made do plenty of times and used google if I got properly stuck.

With all of this being said though I just genuinely can't look past this games issues:
1. The writing is not that good
2. The game runs like ass and crashes do happen
3. It's full of stupid unnecesary dialogue like if a quest has you track down someone, it can be stupidly hard to find them cause you can't just always ask people "where is x?"
4. All the boomers hating on Oblivion for having quick travel are legit living with rose tinted glasses, the traveling by foot in Morrowind is DREADFUL! it's insane how slow it is early game and I know it's a game from 2002 but the world looks for the most part like ♥♥♥♥, this isn't one of those games that have aged super gracefully on that front, the only cool thing is Vvardenfell itself having pretty cool geography. All this makes it absolute time waster and genuinely almost forces you to go make coffee on scroll on the phone while your character auto runs to the town you need to go to.
5. Every single city or building looks like it was designed and made by a 10 year old in minecraft pocket edition, we're talking corridors! and more corridors! and yes even more corridors! I had the displeasure of picking up my old savefile from INSIDE VIVEC CITY it quite litterally probably took me 45 minutes just to find the exit to this city and the entire time you bet your ass i wish i could fast travel to leave.

Modded Morrowind MIGHT be okay but genuinely this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks to try and play if you aren't familiar with all the jankyness and you're way better picking up a classic infinity engine CRPG instead like Planescape or Baldurs Gate.
