Allow me to start by saying that there are still a few wrinkles to iron out. If you've played any other Fallout game (mainly 3,4 or New Vegas), most of 76 will be already familiar to you. I decided to gave the game a try last year in February, and have been playing it on and off (mostly off since August) ever since.

76 doesn't reinvent the wheel, let this be clear for everyone. All if does is make it so you, the player, have the choice of sharing your experience with a few other players that might be wondering around the same world you are at that point in time. Which is definitely nice. The game doesn't force the multiplayer aspect of it's design on you at any point. All social activities, from world events, to team based raids and the like are optional. If you decide to go full solo, you can do that. Sad part of that equation is that if you also want to be the only one playing on a certain world, like you would be in any other Fallout game, then you'll have to pay for a membership that will allow you this luxury. Otherwise it's a lot of fun and above decent immersion. That depends of course on your style of play. Just because it works for me, doesn't mean it will for everyone. Along with this latest update, which for those that are new to the game arrive about half a year later then it was promised, the general feel of the world got significantly better if you ask me. Before you'd just be reading text of monitors or listening to someone telling you their life story. Now you get to meet a few of them to, while they're still alive of course(most of the time).

I think that's enough of the good stuff, now to clarify my opening statement. Some of the things that have been plaquing 76 since it came out are still there. Mainly random server instability and glitches, also of the random variety. Sometime your character you just hit an invisible wall while you're strolling through the forest and get knocked back for no reason, or you'd fast travel to an event and the prompts wouldn't appear, making it impossible to complete alone if you don't know exactly what needs to be done. Nothing to major if you have a bit a patience stored away every time you decide to play for a bit, but for a game that emphasises immersion over everything else, stability and reliability should come before anything else. Or at the very least those are my two cents on the issues.

It's fun, manageable, on the right path...hoping for the best, staying prepared for absolutely anything.

Oh yeah, they finally added bows and crossbows, which is nice.

And one last thing, one the topic of hacks and other similar activities...they are to be expected, someone with a lot of free time on their hands will always find a way. I personally was never affected by any cheater, just mind you business and enjoy the game, if some need to break it in order to enjoy it, that's their choice.
