UPDATED REVIEW AFTER 4.21:

The new engine upgrades to PS are nothing short of breathtaking. My frames went up considerably, and the action is now butter smooth. I would not hesitate to recommend picking this title up, especially given the new chapter which is releasing soon, which should introduce a whole new theatre of war and more new exciting content. It is really a pleasure to see this game continue to evolve and get even better than it already is. Hats off to Periscope Games for their continued commitment to Post Scriptum!

Old Review:

So after playing the game since the first test weekend, I'd like to write a brief review, based on how the game stands.

Overall, this game is just -killer-. While it is not be any means perfect (more on that below), what it does do well, it -excels- in. The immersiveness of Post Scriptum is something I've honestly never seen before in a video game. From the sound effects (epic) to the graphics (epic), you will definitely feel like you are back in Holland in 1944. The game is just so damn immersive, it's a shame they don't have VR to complete the experience.

The only way to play this game is with a team. That's it. If you think you are going to lone wolf in this one, do everyone a favor and play Battlefield. This is not that type of game.

The gunplay is quite good in my opinion, the vehicles are stellar, and if you have a good group of guys, this is honestly the most fun you'll ever have in a video game. There were moments where I literally was frightened to even move, where I was shouting at my section "Everyone get down!". There's no other feeling than guiding your squad past a Tiger tank and trying (and praying) to remain unseen, or lining everyone up just before the final push into the point, getting them ready to rush across a smoked field into enemy territory. It's just epic and exhilerating. This game consistently creates tense moments, due to its pacing, which yes, is slow at times. But that only serves to ramp up the tension when you enter into a firefight.

As far as cons, team play is dependent on how willing you are to use teamwork and work together. Communication is key, and when the section is spread to the four winds you will find yourself alone and generally frustrated as the game slowly turns into a dying simulator, a walking simulator, or both.

Final thoughts: this is not a perfect game, but it certainly has the potential to be. Fixing the mechanics to encourage more team play, and tweaking an already innovative spawn system, will make wonders for this game. The immersion it provides, and the incredible moments I've had along the way, far surpass my gripes, and certainly make me able to overlook these things. It will be remaining in my library for a long, long time.

tl;dr: This game isn't perfect, but it's what I've been waiting for since I was a kid. It is a hell of a good game if you work with your team, and have a mic. Still needs tweaking to be successful, but I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly immersive WW2 experience.

Ridiculous remarks. I originally wanted to invite you to China to see our harmonious society, but let's forget it. I won't argue with you anymore. Since you started smearing my country, I knew you were a fool and an extreme separatist! You have your gun freedom, I have our life freedom. We are not from the same world. This is the last message

Finally, sorry for deleting your comment. It was a mistake. I wanted it to remain up so people could see how absolutely stupid you are. Could you repost it please?

I can say "♥♥♥♥ Trump" or "♥♥♥♥ Biden" or whatever the hell I want, because I live in a free country. Try saying ♥♥♥♥ Xi and I bet you'll end up in a gulag. In fact, try doing any amount of criticism at all and see how that goes for you. I actually spoke to Chinese citizens here in France and they told me the truth about your "harmonious society". I had Chinese friends in my masters program at Sciences Po Paris (go look at the rankings, best in the world). So maybe you should just stop arguing and travel a bit and stop review bombing developers who see the world how it is.

1) I'm American, not French, so I frankly couldn't care less what you say about the French.

2) I guess you're part of the nearly 35 million single Chinese men who can't find a wife due to your idiotic one-child policy, which resulted in the abortion or killing of untold numbers of baby girls?

3) Your country is hitting a population cliff + housing crisis. Real vibrant society right there. It's harmonious because you can't allow dissent.

Also speaking about WW2, how'd the Japanese treat you guys? ;) 14 million killed, something like that? Nanjing massacre ring a bell? Do you even know what I'm talking about? Does Winnie the Pooh allow you to learn about bad Chinese history?

lol OK keep spreading CPP propoganda on Steam and review bombing every single DLC because of a flag you don't like. Get a life bro. Taiwan is not part of your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ country and they will never submit to you commie pieces of ♥♥♥♥.
