ive enjoyed this game for years to come. there is a lot thats happening with the game and i enjoy that. yes, there is a massive grind. yes, this game doesnt having a learning curve, it has a learning 90 degree dip. this game is not going to hold your hand for anything. and thats alright. however, once you get a handle on the mechanics, make your first (lets say) 100 million credits and a solid 100 hours, and you have a decent understanding on how the game works, youll have a great time. if you like to role play, than by all means, go for it (soon to be) CMDR, earn your pilots certification. but one of the most important thing to keep with you. DON'T BE AFRAID OF ANYTHING!! don't be afraid of the stars that youll probably run into (a couple times) dont be afraid of being in open play. dont be afraid of the various NPCs and for goodness sake, dont be afraid of other players. if players or NPCs mess with you, accept it. its the way of the gameplay. if that style of gameplay doesnt work for you, go to solo and enjoy yourself in isolation.

my final point (since this is getting kinda long and my hand hurts from typing), try everything that the game has to offer and see what you like and dont like. try combat go into RES (resource extraction sites) any any variant and fire at pirates. try trading (the real way [mining is not trading]), pick up a hundred tons of whatever item and take it from one station to another. a space trucker basically. try exploration, travel across the milky way and see what other probably didnt see. (take pictures for wallpapers because its totally worth it c;). and hell, try mining. grab yourself a mining laser and mine away.

there are many things to do. and literally nothing is stopping you.
