Battlefield is Battlefield again. A few quirks here and there, and this review is before the hideous cosmetics drop, but it's been fun so far.

A Battlefield game that Battlefield players actually wanted. Made by a company that is not EA/DICE, and at just a fraction of the budget.

The lower fidelity Roblox-esque graphics may be off-putting, but it only took me a few minutes to get used to it, and it really isn't very detrimental to gameplay. My only complaint is that the architecture and terrain are a bit too indistinct from one another and each other, making it visually straining to navigate and orient yourself in at times.

Gunplay feels very solid, time-to-kill is fairly well tuned, though some tweaks are necessary, but I foresee them happening in the near future. Magazine management is not the worst solution, but it feels a bit out of place for an arcade focused game(likely its roots in being more milsim).

TL;DR - Yes, it's awesome. Yes, you should play it.

I was skeptical at first, thinking that Valve just went for VR as a gimmick. Having now finished the game, I can definitely say that this is not the case. Half-Life: Alyx is a fully featured addition to the trilogy. Perhaps not the addition everyone expected, with a change not in platform but an entirely different medium, but it's amazing nonetheless.
There are a few minor bugs here and there, some things need a minor amount of balancing, but besides that it's flawless.
This game has just set the bar for VR as high as HL1 and HL2 set back in the day for FPS games, and it will be very hard to beat.

10/10 IGN won the game by walking into a Kapkan trap as Montagne and causing two enemy teamkills.

Recommended to everyone who has friends.

This game has a lot of promise. As an aviation guy, I absolutely love this arcadish pew pew style game, since it still manages to be challenging and fun with simple mechanics.
7/10, if only there was diversity in plane construction and weapons, it'd be perfect, but it's still in early access, so there's hope.
The learning curve is a tiny bit steep as well, but it's quite easy to get accustomed to if your reaction time is greater than that of a snail.
I wouldn't recommend playing this game with a controller of sorts, though, it's almost as if it's meant to be played with a mouse and keyboard, but I prefer to play it like that anyway.
