Well, yeah, it takes 5 minutes in a country that has PSN support - the country I live in doesn't. If the requirement did go through, it would essentially brick the game for people from 150+ countries and territories, unless they were to use a VPN to create an account. Not everyone wants to do that.

But enough about the debacle, let's talk about Helldivers II, and why it's an awesome game!
Helldivers II perfectly captures the joy of being a no-thoughts-head-empty grunt that has been catapulted on some planets' surface along with 3 other grunts. You will laugh, you will witness cinematic moments that you will create yourself, and you will feel a connection to people from around the world that you won't see ever again in 40 minutes. Helldivers captures the long-missing joy of multiplayer that has been dominated by e-sports oriented games for a long-long time.

It's a near-perfect live-service because you feel like you're actually contributing to the unwinding narrative. It's also a superb satire, with one of the best and funniest opening cinematics in gaming history.
