As things stand right now Valve has addressed the bot crisis in a sufficient manner.
However, as long as there are still human cheaters active, cheaters that have been around for years despite having been reported many times over, there is still work to do.

Whether thats actually responding to users making reports, giving them feedback or simply acting on reports, either is fine by me.
