I turned 72 on New Years eve 2022. My over thirty year addiction to playing (non vampire/non killer) RPG survival and city builder games started with Infocom in the 80's on Apple and now it is getting me through two strokes (a year apart). I happily play Hogwarts Legacy, SKYRIM and My Time At Sandrock/ Portia and have thousands of hours in THE LONG DARK. Frostpunk was a favorite too. There are other games I like a lot and play sporadically but these are the ones I love, that let me forget I am in a wheelchair and live in a different world. I try to be a completionist in my games and really do not like to skip achievements even when they are so difficult for me. I will, I am certain, walk again but until then coffee, instruction on new recipes, cooking, video gaming and books get me through it all.
I am playing on a Alienware m17 R4, 17.3 inch FHD (Full HD) Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i7-10870H, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 6GB GDDR6, Windows 10 Home since last Christmas/birthday <grin>.

oh my god.. a person plays more than 3 thousand hours in one game.. I can imagine how difficult it is (although if it's your favorite game, it's super cool)))

Good to know about Sandrock- I'll keep it on my "think about it" list- still not sure about it.
I have so many unplayed games in my library already... :/

In the better late than never category, I just saw this comment. Sorry. My time At Sandrock is so much like Portia but a lot more story and actual tasks, less busy work. Less time wasters I guess I mean. For me it is worth it and I'll get back to it in a bit. I am headlong into Hogwarts Legacy right now and I actual love the game as much as I loved The Long Dark. Maybe won't play 5000+ hours though.

Yep. My hours are about half or less on TLD- lots of offline time. Recently, a lot of offline time because of power outages in the area- we have solar, so the computers keep running, but out ISP loses connection almost every time. They've strung new lines, but haven't fixed their battery backups or generators yet.
How's My Time at Sandrock? Portia was okay, but I am not sure about Sandrock yet, whether I want to get it and see if it's better or not.
