Solo Leveling
The world is suddenly connected to monstrous dimensions through "Gates," forcing some humans to awaken as superpowered beings called Hunters to fight the monsters. The protagonist is Sung Jin-woo, an E-Rank Hunter so weak he is nicknamed "The Weakest Hunter of All Mankind."

After nearly dying in a hidden Double Dungeon, Jin-woo is chosen by a mysterious program called The System. This unique ability allows him, and only him, to "level up" his strength, stats, and skills like a video game character.

Jin-woo embarks on a secret journey of rapid growth, eventually gaining the power to extract the shadows of his defeated enemies and command them as his immortal Shadow Soldiers with the command, "Arise!"

As he evolves into an unparalleled powerhouse, he uncovers the truth: the Gates are a symptom of a hidden, cosmic war between the Rulers and the Monarchs (the leaders of all monsters). Jin-woo becomes the successor to the original Shadow Monarch and must use his overwhelming, ever-increasing strength to defend humanity from total annihilation.
