Very performance friendly and 100% clientside.


Convars
Name
Purpose
mediaplayer_lighting
0/1 - Enables the lighting.
mediaplayer_lighting_shadows
0/1 - Enables shadow casting. Pretty expensive.


Culling based on dot product and util.PixelVisible is courtesy of xalphox 🙏

makes the screen turn invisible when looking at it at certain angles. i'm using the updated version

I just checked, this is compatible with both the Updated Edition of Media Player and Extended Props.

would it be possible to also make this work when images or other file formats are displayed? i notice this only works with youtube as far as i've seen

This feels very Black Magic for some reason, The way the screen colour reflects the light in real time is very mindblowing! Are actual wizards

Yeah i do. Maybe it has something to do with my computer being 5 years old and i3 and among other things idk 🤷‍♀️
