Yep, doesn't play music anymore.

Like, it's already the start of 2022 and this thing doesn't even work even when I want it to play music.

I tried following D3l3rium's instructions and the instructions in the pinned discussion and nothing works. Guess it's just a cool glowing box thingy now.

Okay, so I checked, and the only things that'll work with this thing now is direct MP3 links, not file locations. So you will probably have to download an mp3, then post it somewhere like Discord Chat in order to get a link for it.

Does direct file locations work? I tried YouTube but it failed, so I went ahead to try using direct file links on my computer...

Stop complaining for this to be fixed the last update was made over 5 years ago.

this addon doesnt get the credits it's deserve's. It took a while before i got it working in the newest version of gmod but when it worked it was more then awsome.

This doesn't work. I've been trying tons of links and every time it says this in console:

Suggestion: Accept file paths

Alright, so I found out how to get it to work! (Only really know how to get Soundcloud urls working though)
1. get your soundcloud url example: https://soundcloud.com/artist/song
2. then get a soundcloud downloading site (I used): https://9soundclouddownloader.com/
3. paste your soundcloud in and all that until you get to a site where you can play your new mp3 file or download it.
4. Copy the insanely long link address and use an url shortener I used for example: goo .gl
5. Paste the long link address in and convert it to a short url
6. Go ingame and use the command/the contex menu to paste your new short link into boxvis.
And voila! It should now be working!

Found out the reason - your API key (at least soundcloud one) is outdated.
