Having worked a lot with events, I can confirm that the prices as nothing to do with “we need to make things go around and make a little profit” and everything to do with “fans will pay anything for this so why not charge a little extra?” Aka greed. It’s definitely an issue you should bring up to the people holding the convention. Problem with American Supernatural-cons is that Creation has the rights to the show/actors since they’ve signed contracts with them and therefore they won’t have to ->
Worry about any competition from other convention-companies, which means there’s no reason for them not to charge as much as they do, since there’s no alternative for the fans if they want to meet their idols. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t bother the shit out of them for it though! If possible, do it anonymously so they can’t just ban you to get rid of you (since I’ve heard of people getting banned for rightfully complaining)
This is honestly the worst thing ever. Greed it so fucking wrong. I hate this. Ugh, I can’t even read this without getting genuinely mad about the entire situation.
