I know this episode is one of the most hated ones in the fandom. It still has some very very good moments though. This here is one of them. In fact I personally would count this moment here as one of my favourite Castiel moments of the entire show. Because I find Misha captured Castiel feeling overpowered by the amount of emotions he suddenly feels as a human heartbreakingly well. This is the moment in the streets where he stands on the sidewalk and the busy life of hundreds of other people is passing him by and he stands almost frozen unable to sift through what it is that is flooding his head. Whether it is the smell of food from the other side of the road or the noise of cars. In that moment it is save to say it all is a bit too much for Castiel. So he is overwhelmed, not knowing where to go, where to turn, what to do, so he swallows and blinks away the tears in his eyes. And crying, though he has seen Dean cry more than once, certainly is one hell of a new experience for him. And maybe I am horrible, but I just love this moment here, because I think it truly is the only time we have seen Castiel show that much emotion and certainly the only time we saw him cry.
