Norwegian Depressive Black Metal. Another piece of BM history that I am still educating myself about... :) I love this song - how it takes its time & manages to give that sense of desperation in what at least at the time must have been a near unique way! It still sounds very fresh today so... :) Highly recommended!!!

Okay, I’m no expert on black metal, but this is some good stuff right here. Supposedly the birthplace of DSBM, the drumming here REALLY stands out. Surprisingly good production for a genre known for having the exact opposite.

Bleak, atmospheric and insanely heavy. Lengthy, terrifying and addictive. Black Metal, Death Metal, Doom Metal with horns and jazz thrown into the mix. It works, it’s a nightmare to remember and relive. Kings of Castille
