What is Supergirl Femslash Secret Santa?

Well if you’ve ever wished you could get fic/art/gifs for Christmas, this is your hook up. If you’ve ever participated in a secret santa, you know the basic rules, a secret person makes you a gift while you are making a gift for someone else. Anyone who signs up for the challenge will submit prompts of your own heart’s desire and you’ll get a prompt to fill in return. On Christmas Day everything will be revealed and Santa will have brought you just what you wanted.

When do I get my prompt?

Everyone should have their prompts by the end of October 26th. Happy creating!

When do I need to submit my fanwork to AO3? 

By December 21st at 11:59PM.

There were two prompts, do I need to submit both?

Nope, only 1, just choose which one you like the best and get creating. If you want to do that second one you can, but it’s not required.

What if I don’t like either of my prompts?

Make the best of it. Remember this is a gift for someone else and they’ll love whatever you make. You don’t have to stick to the prompt 100% so try and get those creative juices flowing.

What if I can’t make it by the deadline?

If you have to drop out for any reason, let me know ASAP. The sooner I know, the sooner I can find a pinch hitter and the more time they have to work on it.

What should my prompts look like?

It’s up to you, but they shouldn’t be so overspecific that whoever is filling your prompt can’t have some creative freedom. This is supposed to be a fun challenge after all. A prompt could be something as simple as saying you want a Historical 1920s AU or something a bit more specific like Lena walks in on Kara changing into the supersuit and shenanigans ensue, but laying out every scene you want might be a little much.

Do my prompts have to be holiday related?

No, no they do not. Go wild with the imagination.

If we’re writing fic is there a minimum word count?

Yes, you have to hit at least 1k. Give people the chance to savor their gift and scream at you in the comments over even more content.

Yes, there’s another exchange going on right now. It focuses mainly on season 1 ships and rarer pairs.
