…or use it to write stupid cover letters and live your life normally??

are your comprehension skills in the room with us?

I understand that you’re blowing all this out of proportion. AI is a tool like any other and can be used properly or abused. It’s not intrinsically evil.

The point is that it is precisely that mundane use that leads to the acceptance of other uses. You are not infallible.

If you suddenly ditch riding your bicycle to work and use your car, don’t expect your legs to be nearly as strong in a month’s time. Maybe, because you rode to work, you were able to engage in many other physical activities with ease. Walking to the grocery store. Playing soccer on thursdays. Walking to the park. Going hiking.

But now you’ve ditched your bike, you also find it easier to drive to wherever you fancy - regardless of how healthy it is. Easier to go out with work friends drinking. To take the lift instead of the stairs. And so on. But now it’s harder to do your hikes, to do soccer, to walk to the grocery store. You’re exhausted. You skip a few sessions. Now you’re taking a break.

Now your pants don’t fit. Why don’t they fit anymore?

Can you take a guess?

If you still try and do your old activities, it will be ten times harder because you aren’t using your muscles.

Sure, if the bike was the most efficient way to go to work a car is just an extra expense that would actively make you less healthy. Even then, you could have a car and use it for other things, like going on roadtrips or to visit friends and family. You could even use a car to allow you to go ride your bike in the mountains or somewhere else that’s much cooler and more challenging than your daily commute.

Or the car could let you get to work faster so you could have more free time in the mornings and evenings to go play soccer or go to the gym. Then you just have to compensate by doing some physical activity more often 🤷‍♀️.

In the end, the car is just a tool that can be used in anyway you want. It can be beneficial for the right people but hurtful for others. Whether you use the tool right depends entirely on you, your circumstances, and your level of discipline.

I understand that this is the autism website, but your focus on the car means you’re still missing the point that I even italicised at the end for you. It’s not about the car. It’s not about the million other factors you could insert there. You seem to refuse to entertain a metaphor when you cannot insert yourself 100% into a situation like a clone, and that is a you problem.

You’re not immune to the snowball effect.

I suggest reading it again.

You’re the one who started using the metaphor 😭. Why is it wrong for me to use it to respond?

Look. Whatever. I’ll use ChatGPT whenever I feel like it and you can refuse to use for as long as you can. We’ll stay on our respective lanes and be happy ever after. Bye.
