when you're watching youtube art lessons, make sure to study art history too! yes learn about composition from cartoonists! but also learn about it from the old masters! art history enhances your art appreciation which not only enriches your art but your life & your being!
and you may find an art movement that you like once you learn about it. surrealism and impressionism are my favorites and I just can't appreciate cubism. modern art is wildly hit-or-miss but overall I love it once I really learned about it. finding another thing to like brings you more joy!

Fuu/Ferio stuff from late 2000/early 2001. I drew them constantly, especially Fuu. These are so fun to look at. I keep thinking that I want to re-draw the one of her looking up in the grass but I love it how it is, tbh.
