Someone was endlessly fascinated with this trailcam today 😆 The sound is a bit noisy with the wind but I didn't add music because the noises were so cute at the end.
(You see a black-morph gray squirrel intrigued by and examining the camera and also posing for it.)
Have you ever seen the Malabar giant squirrel (Ratufa indica)? This multi-colored rodent can reach lengths of 18 in (45.7 cm) and weights of 6.6 lb (3 kg)! Its long tail—which is about the same length as its body—is used as a counterbalance as it scurries through the treetops. It's omnivorous, with a diet that includes fruit, bark, insects, and bird eggs. This squirrel can be spotted in parts of Asia including India, Singapore, and Indonesia.
