I am once again thinking about how in the world of Destiny, the Light subclass that is canonically the most destructive, isn’t one of the Hunter or Warlock subclasses (the canonical most reckless and most raw power subclasses), but instead a Titan subclass. And that has some FASCINATING implications
The Taken King subclasses all have their in universe explanations for why they weren’t mentioned in the base game. Stormcallers are rare because it takes an insane amount of discipline and power for a Warlock to even summon arc in the first place. Nightstalkers tend to end up as recluses with a tendency to just kinda vanish for years on end.
But Sunbreakers? They’re a Titan Order. They helped build the early City. The reason they weren’t mentioned is because they exiled themselves for the safety of the City. Because their Light was too dangerous to be within the walls they were helping to build. Which implies that Sunbreakers are more prone than other Lightbearers to accidentally losing control of their Light. And the fact that you’d think, out of the three classes, the Titans would have the most control over their Light and the least prone to outbursts? That’s a really fascinating piece of worldbuilding!
…and the Bungie killed the entire order off screen and never mentioned their implications again
