It’s almost comical how her hair spills over the blue weave, but Viago bites back the laugh that wants to escape him. He knows Marisol’s patience is thin at the moment, and laughing at her would ensure that he, too, had a very cold night.
“I’ll warm you once we get to our rooms, si?”
The look she gives him promises retribution should he renege on his promise.
Not for the first time, Viago is left wondering quite how his life turned out like this.
