"After the release of "Boodo Khan" two years ago, which was entirely produced and mixed in a DAW environment, I now present some tracks that are loosely thematically related but, for various reasons, don't form a coherent album in my opinion. Therefore, "Wire Tripping" is released as a collection of individual tracks. Approximately one-third of these pieces can already be found on other releases, while the remainder is unreleased material from the last two years.

The technical setup behind these tracks is deliberately limited compared to my usual production and studio habits. I followed a similar approach (albeit much more complex) back in the 90s when a friend and I tried to produce music with an Atari/Cubase/AKAI S1000 setup. All production, arrangement, and mixing were done exclusively on an SP404MK2 and/or in KOALA SAMPLER for Android.
This involves the exclusive use of samples and the internal effects of the devices. The stereo sum output was sent directly to a ZOOM H2N recorder. Level monitoring was performed with Klanghelm's VUMT. A Sennheiser HD25 headphone was used for monitoring throughout the
entire process.
