This’s Vasilissa and her creepy fucking monster pet. Lissa is the younger sister of the character I play in my weekly pathfinder game (we are playing Reign of Winter! It’s super fun but also mega sad) and we had to fight her last Sunday because of Reasons.

Thier backstory was loosely based on the Russian fairy tale Vasilissa the Beautiful and her design was inspired by this old Ivan Bilibin illustration.

Real answer: Clerical error. She’s level 3 I just forgot to update that bit on her character sheet

So (almost) every Sunday I spend a big chunk of the day playing Pathfinder (which is basically Dungeons and Dragons) over Skype with some rad nerds, and as a result I never get to do Character Solidifying Sunday but this week I remembered to doodle a thing sort of ahead of time and if you want to ask things throughout the day I’ll try and doodle responses over the next couple days.

So this is Oksana, the character I play in the aforementioned game. She’s a grumpy one-eyed witch-hunting inquisitor who hates magic and nobles and nobles who use magic. Her character sheet is over here and if you scroll down to the bottom there’s an abridged version of her backstory and a short personality summery to get you started.

Photoshop! 

I don’t have scanner access at the moment so even the sketches of everything for the past six months or so were done in photoshop. Everything from this picture of Ivy onward was done in CS6, everything before that was CS3.

I think I’m going to try some stuff in Illustrator soon-ish though, its been a while since I used it and I don’t want to get rusty.
