Storytime.
Months ago my grandpa was in the middle of a Mentalist rewatch. I knew he liked the show but I'd never watched it myself. I was in the living room trying to read a book instead of watching the show but I took a peak every so often until eventually my book was down and I was completely watching the Mentalist. I think we ended up watching 3 episodes straight. Now my grandpa was at the end of s4. Seriously if we had watched one more episode it would've started part 1 of the finale for that season. So, crazy enough the 3 episodes we watched in s4 didn't mention Red John at all (or at least not substantially so) but I was hooked. I saw the chemistry between Patrick and Lisbon in just those 3 episodes and proceeded to check their character wikis to see if they ended up together. THAT is when i found out about Patrick's first wife and kid and Red John. It's also when I found out that not only did Patrick and Lisbon get married, they would have a kid (I didn’t know yet that the show ENDS with her just telling him that she's pregnant) in which case I was officially sold on the show. I quit spoiling stuff for myself and started back at s1 to watch it all in order. Sometime around s2 I wanted to draw Patrick and Lisbon. At this point I had seen gifs of White Orchids so I thought I'd just draw their wedding day. I didn’t want to post it until I finished the whole show so here it is! Yesterday I finally finished watching all 7 seasons in order. It was such an amazing happy ending 😍 I'm hoping to draw a couple more Jisbon arts.
