i think a lot of poeple think of racism and sexism as something you have to actively opt in to perpetuate rather than something you have to continuously actively opt out of if you want to maybe help dismantle it

God what i wouldn't give to have the sheer stamina and work ethic of my next door neighbor. Every morning, 8am, the hammers and drills come out. he's putting up shelves. he's feeding cables through walls 6 inches from my pillow. He's putting together furniture. He's making smoothies. He's 74 years old. Does it piss me off? of course. But i have to admit that he is clearly also the superior being. I need The Substance but to turn me (anemic 20-something with the constitution of a consumptive Victorian child) into this absolute beast of a man

This is actually such a crucial part of healing from neglect and abuse and I have to add to this.

Because indeed, people who like you will not roll their eyes and sigh at the idea of accommodating your needs, they will value your voice and be upset with you about injustice done to you, not at you for "being difficult". They will be happy when you find a way to live a better life, and help you to get there. If you are struggling, someone who loves you wants to see you smile, not tell you to smile because "you have it so good".

Shen Yuan is reborn as one of Binghe’s many forgotten wives in his harem, he makes it his mission to divorce this demon emperor no matter what, turns out PIDW has extremely elaborate (and weirdly horny) super fleshed out divorce laws (because a lot of the members of Binghe’s harem were already married or betrothed) that make it impossible for Shen Yuan to divorce the demon emperor, this will not stop him from trying.

Shen Yuan becomes the top expert in divorce law for demons, mortals and cultivators alike! He personally may not be able (yet) to get his divorce (this is airplane’s fault) but he is giving consultations left and right, divorce has skyrocketed and it is all Shen Yuan’s doing!

Binghe is just fascinated by this wife who’s name he doesn’t even remember just getting really in to wrecking other people’s marriages one day all of a sudden, he hasn’t laughed this hard ever really, this silly wife of his is truly a treasure and can make him smile genuinely like he had lost the ability to do.
