Legendary Norwegian outfit TROLLFEST is back, ready to deliver their groovy, energizing and K.A.O.S-infused sound to the masses! After gathering millions of streams on YouTube and Spotify, TROLLFEST release their new dual-themed EP, Happy Heroes (March 19th 2021 via Napalm Records), proving themselves as more joyful and adventurous than ever before. Four vivid songs on the new EP deliver a vast variety of spectacular musical romps, made evident by the catchy original title track “Happy Heroes”, wherein TROLLFEST tells the story of evil, self-righteous troll superheroes whom you should probably not call if you’re in need of help. The EP then presents three re-energized cover songs – punk rock and folk metal re-imaginings of the world-famous “Happy” by Pharrell Williams, quite possibly the cheeriest song known to man, “Don’t Worry Be Happy”, by Bobby McFerrin, and the Aqua hit “Cartoon Heroes” (featuring guest vocals by Miriam Renvåg Müller aka Sfinx). Each revitalized track is steeped in the spirit of True Norwegian Balkan Metal – filled with charging drums, lively vocal performances and folky madness! If you’re hankering to party with drunken trolls and go absolutely crazy with TROLLFEST, Happy Heroes is just the medicine for you!
This album is as powerful now as it was when it first dropped. Already own it physically, but needed to have it on the go as well. Can never have too much of these gents. ribombitch
Blackbraid is a spiritual force in the black metal scene, bringing a unique perspective and culture that was missing until the release of this album. 'Barefoot Ghost Dance on Bloodsoaked Soil' is immensely powerful, showing me that black metal is as strong as ever. 'The River of Time Flows Through Me' is excellent as well, with a crushing melody and unforgettable song title. Hail Sgah'gahsowáh, the new blood of black metal. Obsidian One
Never bought an album I've never heard before so fast in my entire life... "Don't shoot, it's a cell phone... *drum hit*" I know this was a 2020 album but it hits harder in 2025. lookshylily
The concert at Resurrection Fest 2025 was spectacular, one of the best, brutal music and a tough World War I theme. Greetings from Avilés in Asturias, Spain. There are videos of the concert on my Facebook page "Manuel Hernando." Hernando
