Was thinking about how Azune typically seems older than Julien even in that most recent conversation, and how it's partially due to the beard, so did a quick paintover to see how he might look without it—

—in comparison to Julien (27-29) and Wick (29), both of whom are only a couple of years older than Azune (27-28) at most according to current information

#azune nayar#sir julien davinos#wicander halovar#julien davinos#IMO he very much looks his age beardless lol#critical role#c4#criticalrole#cr4#a full beard can make someone look much older than they are depending on the styling (typically the bushier the more it ages them)-#- and in Azune's case you can tell how young he is even with the beard as he does look at most in his 30s with it#but if you take it off he looks undeniably as young as Julien and Wick - AND more worn than Wick but less so than Julien#which tracks with their experiences for the most part#also these arts are even more gorgeous up close oh my god absolutely jaw dropping work by _Solelle/Loren Hontanilla#THE TEXTURES HRRHGHGHR#Even the way their skin is painted tells stories about their backgrounds#Wick's skin is much smoother than Julien's which is visibly rougher BUT Azune's is more similar to Wick's aside from the scar#It seems like Azune had to try and fit in with the mercenaries he was raised by and the allies he had during the war#which probably forced him to mature real fast to survive#whereas Julien was likely trained FROM BIRTH to fight given he's a sworn protector to House Royce in a way that seems conditioned#and Wick. Well. Good luck buddy#No he has seemingly been pampered his entire life#like if you took a quick glance at say Azune and Kattigan standing next to each other you might estimate they're roughly the same age#when in fact Kattigan is 15 years older#Add Occtis and you got a quad of traumatised adults with similar but very different bad experiences in their upbringings#though Azune is the outlier as he appears to not be from nobility or at least not a house thus far of note enough to have come up#olessan oration

Here it is! Version 2 of my chart (OG here) of EVERY PC's relationship to Thjazi Fang, with the inclusion of certain NPCs.

I made version 1 before the transcript or Dani's recap were available, and have made improvements to the completion and accuracy based on those, the cooldown, and on everyone's feedback from v1, and cross-checked with the now more updated wiki. <3

As a supplement to the Thjazi chart, I've also made family trees of the PCs and their known family members as of today, the day before the next episode airs. The formatting is the same for clarity across both.

There are also more beef and friend lines lol

Edit: if you see a version without Thimble's star, it disappeared in the OG version I uploaded so I sneakily added it back in 😑👍

After scouring too many multiple sources (the burgeoning wiki pages, various articles, chatter, and the VOD itself), here is a chart of ALL the main player characters' relationships to Thjazi Fang, as best as I could determine them (so far).

Some of the NPCs, such as Wick's father or Uncle Emerald, are excluded for now. We have here the main PCs, their families as immediately relevant, and gradients for those who seem to have two major allegiances (one to Thjazi and one to their family) as of ep 1.
