@carlpalmer also asked me this so here you go :)
Am I a fan?: No what makes you think that
First song I heard by them?: Well That’s All from the radio probably, but also when I was a kid my mom used to listen to A Trick of the Tail (the album) a lot plus random songs like Just a Job to Do and the Three Sides Live versions of Turn It On Again and The Lamb title track, so something in there.
Favorite song?: Supper’s Ready, A Trick of the Tail, Guide Vocal + Duke’s Travels (well the entire Duke suite really), Los Endos, Unquiet Slumbers + Quiet Earth (+ Afterglow), Dodo/Lurker, The Fountain of Salmacis, Home by the Sea + Second Home by the Sea, Dance on a Volcano, the live In the Cage medley (+ Afterglow), and for a current (as opposed to certified all-time) favorite, Deep in the Motherlode has really been growing on me lately. Also everything (OH WAIT AND WHO DUNNIT)
Favorite album?: In no particular order, A Trick of the Tail, Nursery Cryme, and Duke. Then the next tier is probably like, Wind & Wuthering and Mama or self-titled or whatever you want to call it, and then after that it’d be like Abacab and Foxtrot and I gueeeeeess Selling England. Etc. Most recently I’ve been in my “listen to [intimidatingly dense album] on repeat till it’s baked into my brain” phase with And Then There Were Three. Still getting there. What was the question again
Favorite music video?: A Trick of the Tail will always be adorable. Robbery Assault & Battery is great too. OH and Jesus He Knows Me is like, the peak of iconicity. That might actually be my favorite full stop. Oh and I Can’t Dance is so good too
Have any merch?: Mhm I’ve got some CDs + records and a t-shirt or two. I really oughta get more stuff. Oh and I have Mike’s book but digitally not physically
Seen them live?: Yeah :,) I saw them back in December and if I talk about it any more than that I will cry
Favorite member?: Ehh idk tbh. Completely unrelated somebody should send me Tony Banks as a separate ask for this game
