The NIMBY King of California hates homeless people. Seems to have taken a liking to punishing the houseless to a particularly absurd degree instead of examining why there are so many houseless people. As one of the articles noted:

He called the illegal detainment of Kilmer Abrego Garcia “a distraction” and wanted to shift the focus on Trump’s trade policy as if ICE being used as a secret police isn’t more pressing.

I need white people to understand that in their hatred towards ICE, the regular law enforcement such as the police has been doing this shit too. Stealing phones from a tenth grader? Pfft, how about picking up kids and dropping them off in rival gang territory.

They steal all the time. They arrest and resell your belongings. There is no “Law Enforcement doesn’t work that way” argument that is directed solely at ICE because you mean “Law Enforcement doesn’t work that way for you.”

When you got a white dude calling for violent revolution and quoting Malcolm X “It’s either the ballot or the bullet” and “By any means necessary”, it’s over.

Like Malcolm X finally is getting that vindication and recognition. Black people at large who been part of movements are finally getting that vindication because everyone is recognizing that “Black folks were right.” They are finally getting it.

I was at this moment when I went and sat in the Florida Capital for a month protesting the George Zimmerman verdict. I was here during Ferguson. I was here during all of this shit. All of us recognized what a lot of people are feeling in the futility of all of this. We have to fight.

Reading Native American history as a black man be difficult because you get to see just how some native tribes thought about black people and largely did not give a fuck about slavery or in some cases, largely excused the mass murder and lynchings of black people just because, for once, it wasn’t happening to them. Or engaged in the fuckery themselves(slavery). On the flip side, you read about coons like the Buffalo soldiers who were instrumental in America’s violent expansion out west and you kind of see why.

There are two groups of people in America who were going through similar shit and both helped white supremacy in their own ways to screw over the other.

All the more reason to embrace intersectionality now — better late than never.

Not to disparage this take because they aren’t wrong but Black Americans and Indigenous Americans have largely created the model of intersectionality in terms of praxis and organized resistance in this country in their efforts to support one another. The first war against white supremacy in America was a collective effort of the Seminoles and Black slaves in Florida as the Seminoles used Africans to free Florida plantations, and while the Seminoles used “slaves”, they were under the impression that slavery was an apprenticeship type of thing and used them to translate, and allowed them to own the land they worked on. The first Seminole War scared the shit out of white supremacy.

Then you have the collaboration between AIM and the Black Panthers as they formed a rainbow coalition in the 60s and 70s.

If there is any two groups in America that are the model of intersectionality, it’s black people and Native Americans. It’s just that some tribes(4 of the 5 civilized tribes being ruthless slavers) and single minded coons working at the behest of white supremacy for personal gain that fuck it up.
