Terribly run club, works simply on greed, facilities always under managed ridiculous prices for racquets membership with no courts available.
Greedy greedy greedy management
Friendly staff and the facilities are excellent
I had a call today from Jonathan Greig, Member Support. I was impressed throughout our call by his knowledge of my case, the options available to me and his aim to be as helpful as possible. His customer service was excellent.
New members great pool ,excellent facilities, early days but it certainly looks like value for money ,
Really enjoyed our first visit
The driveway to the club is awful - it is embarrassing for David Lloyd
Great facilities Friendly and helpful staff. Positive atmosphere important on dark winter days.
David Lloyd Kidbrooke consistently delivers a standout experience. The staff set the tone from the moment you walk in—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making every visit smooth and enjoyable. The food is reliably good, with options that feel both satisfying and thoughtfully prepared.
The personal trainers deserve special mention (Joel and Lisa). They’re not only knowledgeable but also incredibly customer‑service oriented, creating an encouraging environment that makes training feel approachable and tailored.
The spa area is another highlight. It’s well maintained, peaceful, and truly conducive to rest and healing. Whether you’re unwinding after a workout or visiting just for relaxation, it feels like a sanctuary.
What ties everything together is the team’s responsiveness. Staff are consistently prompt in accommodating needs, big or small, which makes the whole club feel well run and genuinely welcoming.
A great place to train, relax, and feel looked after.
I’m a Diamond member and a regular racquets player. Across David Lloyd, the approach to court access and capacity management has seriously damaged my trust in the brand.
At my club (Acton Park), court booking is effectively a daily scramble at 07:30:00 - and even then you often cannot secure anything. It is harder to book a court than a GP appointment. That should be a clear signal that the club is over-subscribed, yet the membership waitlist has not been properly deployed (it should have been in place at least a year ago).
Against that backdrop, introducing a "Signature" membership that appears to allow earlier booking for the same limited courts feels like the wrong move. It risks creating a two-tier member experience and makes an already poor booking situation worse for existing members. Feel free to search for "Queue jumping membership David Lloyd" and look at the press articles about this pilot, which is really poorly thought out and pretty much universally frowned upon, including by DL's own club staff.
This all comes across as tone-deaf and overly commercial. I would not recommend joining for racquets unless court access and capacity are addressed properly.

I chatted online with Ella about suspending my membership for 1 month due to cataract surgery. I couldn’t read the T’s & C’s in the app because they were way too small!
Initially Ella told me I could only suspend for 2 months. When I told her my husband had suspended for 1 month with his cataract surgery she explained that you can suspend for 2 months and retract after 1 month for medical conditions as long as supportive documents are provided.
She suspended my membership for me.
I am happy with the outcome and thanked Ella for her help.
I would’ve preferred to talk to somebody at the club about this.
But I liked how quick and simple online chat was. I’d definitely use it again if I have to.

It has gone beyond busy, too many members for small changing rooms.

Great Pilates instructor Ryan.
Unfortunate that the club has been without sauna and steam room for so long and parking still remains an issue in the mornings

The club is always so busy, classes booked up, spa is very small with just 4 loungers. I should have had a tour before joining. Brooklands is a VERY small club. No tennis facilities despite that being in the booking page for this club. Outdoor pool looks good but is constantly filled with groups of men discussing very unsavoury subjects. Also my nanny can only accompany my son, not use the facilities and this is not on the joining page, so quite pointless and not sure there should be a charge for that?
