I am a lecturer of Modern Languages at the University of Oxford, where I could take face-to-face German courses for free, but for convenience I wanted to take an online course.

I participated in a DEUTSCH D1 online German course. The course is very good in my opinion. I dedicated several days to exploring different possibilities, I saw a great offer on social networks and consulted several teachers.

The best thing I found were Philipp Samirae's courses. What stands out the most about the course is the passion that he manages to convey in his classes.

Philipp has a perfect diction, he is dedicated, he cares for the student to learn, he makes excellent use of online tools. His classes are small and very enjoyable.

He has a sense of humor and is very cultured. In my life I have had many language teachers but Philipp undoubtedly surpasses everyone.

The course is very interactive and puts emphasis on oral communication, which is very useful for me. It has also helped me to better understand the grammatical rules and the structure of the language. I recommend your courses without hesitation.

Ich habe DEUTSCH D1 von Oktober 2022 bis Mitte 2023 benutzt, und fand es sehr hilfreich. Die Kurse sind schneller und günstiger als beim Goethe-Institut und bieten mehr Zeit mit dem Lehrer*in. Mein Lehrer Florian war freundlich, hat endlose Geduld, und gab uns gute Erklärungen. Alle meiner Erwartungen waren erfüllt und ich hat eine ziemlich gut Erfahrung. In der letzten Woche meines D1-Kurses habe ich die B2-Prüfung gemacht und mein offizielles B2-Zertifikat erhalten.

Wenn du vorbereitet bist, intensiver Deutsch zu lernen, würde ich es sehr empfehlen.

Goethe ist ehrlich auch gut, aber länger und dreimal so teuer wie D1.

I had a fantastic experience with D1. Beginning in October 2022, I took both the bridge course and the B2 course. The class sizes are small and the atmosphere is friendly, focused, and down to business. My teacher Florian was very effective in guiding discussions and encouraging everyone to participate. He was friendly and had endless patience for our mistakes as we spoke with greater and greater freedom. My grammar and speaking skills have improved enormously. There was plenty of homework to supplement the class discussions and his feedback was very clear and useful towards improving.

The classes are faster-paced, meet more frequently, and 1/3 the cost of a comparable course at Goethe. I was able to learn in 8 months what would have required 2 years elsewhere. It paid off: in the last week of my B2 course with D1, I sat my official B2 Certificate exam at a Goethe test center and passed.

If you’re looking for an intensive and affordable way to really get your German skills together, I highly recommend Deutsch D1.
