Excellent

I bought a used lever harp from The Early Music Shop in Saltaire and had a wonderful experience. Being a beginner I needed a decent reliable instrument and Alfie was extremely helpful both over email and in the shop. I got it for a very reasonable price too. Would definitely reccommend this music shop, thank you so much.

Not a great experience

Not a great experience. Ordered items that said they were in stock, but actually weren’t, at the beginning of December. After several phone calls and emails finally got a partial delivery and refund of the order at the end of January. Alfie the shop manager was very polite in his emails but that doesn’t make up for the poor service. I wouldn’t use again.

Initially poor delivery and service recified

My order was very late whilst shown as being in stock by you.
I started a conversation with one of your staff explaining that it should be cancelled and not sent as it had not met my required deadline.
This was ignored as were my subsequent emails.
I have subsequently received emails and phone contacts which have rectified my situation satisfactorily.
I can understand their situation where in a small business sometimes things may fall through the cracks!

This was the second time I've sent a recorder to Barry Holder for repair: replacing the cork on the head joint, and fitting a thumb bushing. The standard of the workmanship is top class, and the recorder came back in just ten days. I am very happy with the result.
