1. The monthly car rental quote was incorrect, causing several problems later.
2. I paid 130.88 Polish zlotys, but was repeatedly charged a 2500 Polish zloty deposit.
3. I had a tire blowout in Italy, but every phone call I made to inquire about how to handle it resulted in different solutions, which was confusing, and customer service was difficult to reach.
4. I often felt the email response time was too slow; sometimes it took 1-3 days for a single inquiry, and sometimes I had to ask multiple times before I received a reply.
5. I was asked to provide a savings bank card to receive the remaining deposit, and I learned that there was a handling fee during this process, which was probably about 60-100 Polish dollars. This bank handling fee was also deducted from my deposit. The customer service of my China Merchants Bank credit card told me that this credit card supports partial refunds. I also told the car rental company by email to use the original method (using the credit card used when paying the deposit) to refund the remaining deposit.

The rental period covered two calendar months, therefore—due to Polish tax regulations—two invoices were issued. The combined amount matched the agreed monthly rate. The deposit of 2,500 PLN was blocked only once as a standard security authorization, not charged multiple times.
In the case of a tire blowout abroad, solutions may vary depending on the situation. As you had additional insurance, repair costs could be refunded after documentation. Our consultants provided guidance based on the circumstances at the time. For urgent matters, a 24/7 phone hotline is available. Email communication is intended for non-emergency and more complex cases and may require additional processing time. We have no record of charging any bank handling fees. Any such fees may result from bank policies beyond our control.

Misleading advertisement and extra charges

Advert says that kiosk is located at the airport! Nope… pick up time had to be rescheduled at my cost even if my booking started much earlier. Driver actually is waiting for you at the airport. All is soo sketchy that I’m definitely not recommending this to anyone.

I was charged twice for the insurance!
Once when i reserved the car throuh CarJet site, and once when I picked up the car.
Also, the picking up of the car and the return of the car was very tedious and had to wait a lot of time, since at the pickup and return spot there is no car rental company, nothing...just a train station!

With regard to the insurance, we would like to inform you that your reservation was made through an external broker. If you purchased additional insurance from the intermediary (so-called Full Coverage), it is a product offered exclusively by the broker and is settled directly between the customer and the intermediary. When the vehicle is handed over, our staff offer the option to purchase insurance available directly from our rental company. In addition to providing coverage in the event of vehicle damage, this insurance also reduces the amount of the security deposit. These are two separate products, and the decision to purchase them is always voluntary. Regarding vehicle pick-up, please note that we do not have a stationary office at the airport. Customer service is provided in a meet & greet format, in accordance with the information published on the website of the intermediary through whom the reservation was made. Great and Time Efficient service received

I have never hired a car from this company before, so wa a bit worried especially that they had no desk at the airport or a hotel across from it. I should not have been, as the collection point is just outside the hotel opposite the airport, Customer Service person arrived in 15 min from me taking a call, so they had to wait for me and the pick up process took about 10min. Questions I had were all answered. The staff was very friendly and professional. And 16 days later during the drop off, the experience was exactly the same. I am travelling to Warsaw at the end of Feb.2026 and I am hoping to find a car with this company again.

Personally NEVER again.

I have been renting quite a few cars from different companies. Never ever in my life I have experienced a thing like that. Booked through carjet.com as I always do. The price was very good, so before booking I've checked some reviews that were on a good level let's say. Landed in Kraków airport, tried to call the office number to let them know that I've arrived, no answer, the call went through the 4th time which is okay. Got a car (asked for the smallest one, instead got a Fiat Tipo Sedan, still no problem). On my way back on the motorway realised that the engine was in quite a bad shape( speed 80 km/h on 140km/h and the car was struggling, you could hear it). Everything went smooth for few days, then the 25th of December, the red light on the dashboard 'Engine Coolant Temperature too High' appears, can't switch on the car( the car was parked for the past 20 hours). Now maybe I am a woman and have no idea what that means,but it's rental so I prefer to call the office. Made more than 10 calls, no answer, send 3 or 4 emails. NO ANSWER UNTIL 4 DAYS LATER. I'm the meantime got the problem temporarily 'fixed' as the light on the dashboard kept appearing every day, after adding a engine coolant that happened to be UNDER the minimum limit. I repeat, I was driving a car for 3 days maximum 20 minutes both ways every day once a day. So pretty sure couldn't use it all in 3 days, and that is something the rental company supposed to check before Every single rental. Now the most interesting part. I supposed to drop off the car at the airport the 2nd of January at 5:30AM. Supposed to call them an hour earlier to let them know I am on my way. And that is what I did. Total calls in 2 hours:93 times. no answer. Parked a car at the parking lot, took car keys with me to do the check in, in the meantime on the phone with them, getting stressed because I really didn't know what should I do, take car keys with me and fly back or just leave the car open with car keys hidden somewhere. Just to add I was traveling by myself with my 5 year old son, so you can only imagine what I was going through. Finally after 2 hours a very nice lady answered, when I told her what happened she was really surprised and asked me to wait a moment to check what must have happened. Office have sent someone to pick up the car, got an apology through phone from the nice lady but with no explanation about what has happened.
Maybe I was unlucky this time, but I wanted to tell my part of the story.

i never got my deposit back when i was told there was no issue with the car. they dont have a building or a real place to collect the car you have to phone and wait a while... i boooked through another company not directly and somehow you had all my details wrong such as drop off time so i very nearly missed my flight waiting for the man to arive. my car had multiple warnings too.

Wouldn’t use again.

The car itself was perfect. Getting it was an absolute nightmare. The company representative didn’t speak any English, there is no booth for the company so the instructions were to call him from the airport. When we finally managed to understand where to go, it was an outdoor parking lot at -1 degrees, trying to communicate with Google Translate for about an hour. They don’t supply snow chains like other rental companies, it doesn’t say it anywhere so keep it in mind if you think about renting from there and going someplace snowy. Also, no emergency kit like a glowing vest and no spare tire. Luckily for us we didn’t get stuck. But it really was a terrible experience. The two stars are for the car itself and the return experience which was easier.
