They don't know what they are doing. For my reference check, it was basically me asking my referee for everything over and over again. They have no idea about even reach someone as easy as via phone calls or email. I have provided everything to them and sending simple emails and making phone calls seem like rocket science for them. I can not believe a business like this could even exist in 21st century. And they have caused delays of me moving to the new flat. I think i will be homeless thanks to their efficiency!

They ask fo documents which can't be downloaded. I called them twice, with no answer, leaving my name, refeence number and phone number. NO RESPONSE. Just get bombarded with moe emails demanding more infomation. They are intrusive and I have now blocked them fom my email. This company should be avoided at all costs.

This was my first experience dealing with FCC Paragon and it was extremely negative. My letting agency recently started using them, and the entire process was unnecessarily stressful.
I dealt with a representative named Kian. I was asked multiple times for the same documents, including payslips, savings account statements, and referee details, despite having already provided them. My previous letting agent confirmed that this information had been shared, yet I was told it had not been received.
The process was disorganised and unprofessional, causing delays and frustration. I felt humiliated when I was asked to grant direct access to my bank account so my statements could be reviewed. This level of access is intrusive, excessive, and inappropriate for a referencing check. As a UK resident, I consider this a violation of my privacy and a serious GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 concern.
In addition, I received unsolicited calls attempting to sell additional services, which is completely unacceptable in the context of a mandatory referencing process.
Overall, this experience was humiliating and invasive, and my personal data was not handled with appropriate care or respect. I would not recommend FCC Paragon.

Rubbish Company. The real question is what did they do right? And the answer is NOTHING!!!. If I could give negative reviews, I would. If I could even send a voicenote of my complaint, I would. They have treated my husband like he is brainless, maybe because he works at a care home I don't know. They referenced me first, and I did not receive any stupid question from them. I work in a consultancy. My husband on the other hand has gone through hell with them. First, they ask him for employer details, pay slip, current housing situation, totally normal. Then they wait the next week to ask who is the former employer. Something they already had. Anyway, he answered promptly. 2 days later, they ask him where is his salary being paid into. Mind you, they had already asked this information and it was provided. He had to give his bank details as well. He answered anyway. 2 days later again, they ask him why he has received extra pay on his pay slip. This is already more than a week, asking for mundane things that you could have asked the same day in less than 5 minutes. And the information you are asking for you already have. By the way, the payslip they have clearly says it is overtime pay. What the HELL?!?!?!?!?!?!? In my case, I received no such stupid questions after providing the exact same documents. They are struggling to make themselves relevant by prolonging the so called referencing and at the end making themselves look very stupid. We decided not to move forward with the whole thing. They should go reference someone else. And my husband even has more contracted hours than me. So either they feel that some jobs are beneath others or they think that they need to show their relevance or diligence in referencing people by treating them like they have no brains at all. I could say more, but I will leave it at that.

FCC Paragon promises to make moving “smooth and stress-free.” Our experience proved the exact opposite.
As guarantors, we acted immediately — providing every requested document as soon as prompts were received. Instead of efficiency, we met delays, unanswered emails, and a concerning lack of urgency. One staff member, Molly, openly stated she “has six works to do” and could not deal with our paperwork while speaking to me on the phone. This dismissive attitude was not only unprofessional but directly caused further delays.
The impact was devastating: the prospective tenants were forced out of their current property when their tenancy ended, left without a new home — all because FCC Paragon failed to process matters promptly.
What’s most alarming is the gap between the service they advertise and the reality delivered. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and disregard for the consequences of delay make them unfit for handling something as critical as a home move.
FCC Paragon Limited failed on every level — turning what should have been a simple process into an avoidable crisis.

This has been the worst referencing experience I’ve ever encountered.
Despite my current landlord and employer providing references promptly on Monday, this company has failed to give any meaningful update or progress on my application. Even worse, they repeatedly contacted my employer, demanding unnecessary and intrusive details regarding my maternity leave; something that is entirely irrelevant and completely out of order.
Their conduct has been so overzealous and disorganised that I genuinely began to question their legitimacy. After looking them up, I was unsurprised to find alarming reviews that mirrored my experience.
I’m appalled that such an incompetent and unprofessional company is trusted to handle something as important as tenant vetting. Looking for accommodation as a family with young children is already stressful enough and referencing should not feel like punishment.
I fully intend to report them to Trading Standards, the Property Ombudsman, and the appropriate regulatory body (FCA or FCO) to leave a formal trail.
Seeing people’s experiences here, I urge others to do the same and leave honest reviews, so steps can be taken to address the serious flaws in how this company operates.

Have 2 rental properties, used Paragon once but never again, how can 1 property with £1000 month rent be more expensive to warranty than another charging 2k rent p.m? They are recommended by Beresfords estate agents yet cant say how much commission they pay them? Why the silence? V strange.
