Poor support makes platform worthless

Although the concept of the platform and most of the functionality is stellar, the abysmal support makes it worthless. there is no quick way to resolve anything and the support staff best is to give you a link which you probably already read. i have wasted countless hours with horrible, unknowledgeable support staff.

WE have been a client for 3 years now…

WE have been a client for 3 years now and learn something new each year. AS we get to know the app we find it more and more usefull.
This year discovered how handy the CSV downloads were to organizing our charitable poker tournament. Genie for Givebutter Chat was especially helpful in composing an email for distribution.

Outstanding customer service!

The most impressive aspect of Give Butter is their outstanding customer service--available at all times. In a long email thread, when one rep became otherwise occupied, another rep would pick up the thread in a short space of time. All reps were knowledgable, patient and offered excellent, consistent solutions for our issues

Deceptive trade practice??

The app is easy enough to use, however, at the very end, GiveButter adds 15% to your donation. They tell you early on that, for example, on a $55 donation, there will be a $1.95 handling charge, and at the very last step, they tried to add $10.20 to our donation. No previous notice on a "tip". Very deceptive.

Transparency is super important to us, especially when it comes to fees. Organizations and donors both have options when it comes to tips; orgs can choose to disable them or hide them from supporters, but many decide to include them because tips help keep our low-cost model running. We want to keep creating a platform that’s easy and affordable for everyone.

If you were a donor and accidentally left a tip, you can always reach out, and we’d be happy to refund the tip while keeping your donation as is. We really appreciate your feedback and are always looking for ways to make things clearer and easier.

This company fraudulently added a tip

This company fraudulently added a commission to my donation amount. Who tips on a donation ????
Never knew this happened until I saw my statement. Company states they will refund the amount, NEVER HAPPENED.
Steer away from this company. Find an honest fundraiser instead. If not, prepare yourselves to be hit with a 15% tip you never authorized.

We’re so sorry this experience was frustrating, Jeannette. That’s absolutely not how we want our donors to feel. We do our best to make everything as transparent as possible, which is why tips are clearly shown during checkout and on your receipt.

Organizations have full control over whether tips are enabled, and donors can always opt out. Many organizations choose to include tips because they help sustain our low-fee model and allow us to continue offering the platform at minimal cost.

If a tip was added unintentionally, we’re absolutely happy to refund it right away. We couldn’t find any communication under your full name on our end, but if you reach out to us directly at [email protected], we’ll be happy to investigate further.

Also, just a note, if a tip was refunded right away, you might not see a separate debit and credit on your statement. If refunded via reversal, the tip amount is simply deducted from your original donation. We’d appreciate it if you could check your statement and get back to us so we can make sure everything is resolved.

What a relief to find Givebutter after the Flipcause fiasco!

Last Saturday morning, Dec. 27, we learned why we have had no luck extracting our funds from Flipcause since May. They were served a cease and desist order and filed bankruptcy last month. Scary stuff to end the year with. Then in steps GiveButter who had set aside small grants to help many non-profits stuck in a similar situation. Givebutter verified our non-profit the same day (a holiday weekend) and by Monday we were getting our website up again courtesy of a discount Givebutter had arranged with Squarespace. We are so impressed with the fantastic support and service!
