They are not at all honest

They are not at all honest. They keep phoning me and saying my PV (solar) panels should be inspected. They say that they inspected our roof before the panels were installed, and two more follow-up visits were costed into the installation price. I contacted my original installer and they said that was rubbish - they themselves conducted a full survey of the roof etc. Green Energy essentially seem to be lying in order to persuade you to allow them to visit - I imagine they would then find something wrong with the system…

Very poor record keeping

Filled in an on line form once and since then have had many many calls. Requested to be removed from calling list but yet calls persist. Every time I get the call I request to be removed from the calling list - I'd estimate about 10 times now.

No fit for Purpose

I purchased a Greem Jem extendable garden trowel. The first time of use whilst digging a hole for a small plant the blade just bent to nearly 90degrees. I contacted Green Jem by email and complained that the item was not fit for purpose. My reply stated that this trowel is not for digging only use to loosen the soil. Yet whilst looking at their description in states “digging” IMO the trowel is made from a thin plate metal ( not moulded ) so. Really it needs strengthening where it meets the shaft.

WDS Green Energy - Terrible customer service.

Having been with them for almost a decade i can only say what a shame. WDS used to have top notch response and customer service, now - four months for a response and perpetual chasing is required. I have lost count of the number of times i contacted them over this issue. positive responses - zero action. They no longer seem interested in providing a good service - It now seems to be all about max' profit in minimum effort. A great shame given their original ethos. In summary, whilst the engineers remain pretty good, WDS Green Energy's customer service is now almost non-existent. This Eg. - Four MONTHS to illicit a repair, four hours to send the bill !

THE MOST COST-EFFECTIVE WAY FORWARD FOR UK ENERGY

I have been a customer of Green Energy UK plc since 2001. I chose the Company because of their genuine green credentials and it does not surprise me to discover that they are now the only Energy Supplier in the UK to provide 100% Green Gas.They have weathered an unimaginable storm over the past 18 months and through careful financial hedging strategies have survived the roughest moments of the volatile international wholesale energy price rises with calm, professional endurance. At their AGM today, 24 January 2023, the CEO emphasised the need for the UK Government to look wholeheartedly at proliferating Renewable Energy Generation on UK Home Soil. Here! Here! He is spot on. Had we not been so dependent on importing our energy over there past 12 years we would not have suffered anything like the wholesale energy price spikes and financial hardship that started in October 2021, was exacerbated by the Ukraine War and has only just started to ease in 2023. To the CEO's remarks I would add: "We need renewable energy generation not only on UK Soil but also with UK ownership. Over 85% of our offshore wind turbines are owned by European and Overseas Investors (Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands etc), so it is utter Conservative political greenwash to bang the drum about the UK leading the world with Offshore wind turbines when the UK doesn't own 85% of them. Why didn't the UK Government make a majority investment in our offshore wind turbines 12 years ago? So, what's the remedy? Answer: We need wind turbines, solar photovoltaic panels, solar thermal panels and battery storage units that are not only on UK soil but also owned by the UK. Where do you think all the profits go from our Offshore Wind Industry? The light shone by Green Electricity and Green Gas has illuminated the most cost effective way forward for our UK energy strategy. I repeat the critical point. The way forward for the UK to is proliferate renewable energy on (1) UK Soil; (2) with UK ownership, to benefit from profits. Only them can we said to have taken back control of our UK Energy Strategy. Mike S.

I would not even give this company a one star rating, they have just cancelled second appointment with a different excuse, avoid like the plague. If a company can make up excuses not to turn up to appointments then how reliable are they actually carrying out a job and it’s not exactly cheap to get Solar panels installed

warranty work avoided at all cost

BEWARE OF A COMPANY CALLED GREEN ENERGY AUST i got a good deal i thought with green energy however when there was a problem i contacted them and found the head office is in Victoria
As my solar unit had shut down i asked the head office for a contact number for S.A. to fix the problem
They said they would ring back and did not
As far as the contact number they gave me no one answered so i emailed them and the emails were blocked
Obviously they do not want to know if there is a problem under warranty so i would reccomend looking elseware as they are a dishonourable company that takes your money but does not honour there responsibility.GOOD LUCK.

It's not Green, it's the administator

I found Green Energy great. I believe that the people causing the problems now are Alvarez & Marsal Europe LLP (Jonny Marston, Mark Firmin and Paul Berkovi) who were appointed as Joint Administators to Green. My account has been transferred to Shell (I had no say in the matter) but nearly six months later, there's ongoing confusion about bills. The administrators sent some details to Shell but they've now changed their minds and say they got it wrong. And, of course, there's no way to get in touch with them, the website simply directs customers to Shell.

Two massive electricity price rises in…

Two massive electricity price rises in less than a year which they blame on the price of gas! They ask for a meter readings after they've already estimated it and they didn't buy enough 'green' energy so I've been paying for something I didn't get and buying more tokens in the future is pointless as I'm leaving.

I had no problem with Green

I had no problem with Green. Their prices were good. Unfortunately they went bust and since then I haven’t been able to access my historic account which is a major problem because my ofgem appointed supplier Shell Energy is trying to over charge me by using a meter reading from July 2021 which was 2 months before Green ceased trading.

fraud company

Green Company always called me that if you switch to us, I will pay less for energy. 4 months later, emailed us that I entered Shell Energy as my new supplier with a new energy rate price which is quite high. No one is responsible or contactable with a number they provided. We now have to pay 500 pound for 2 months of usage.

Utterly rubbish service and rip off.

Utterly rubbish service and rip off.
They keep sending me frightening emails with bailif to pay my debt which was transfered to shell energy.
Shell confirmed that green cannot even take payments and all will be taken care of by the new supplier.
Green is still sending fearless emails.
Wake up! You are gone!!! Only thing you do is to mess up people.
Rubbish company and very bad customer service!
No secret any more why they are gone down the drain.

Green have made me sick with worry

Green have made me sick with worry! Worst company I’ve ever had the misfortune to be a customer of!! This will be the 3rd negative review I’ve left about Green, who are always quick to respond to the review but then don’t sort my overbilling out. It’s really easy I joined you in Jan 2020, up until you ceased trading. However many days that is will be the total of standing charge for gas&elec that I should be billed for. Useage… stop estimating and use the photos of the meters for accurate billing! The useage is minimal! You’ve taken almost £750 out of my bank and you owe me about £500 of that back! My house is vacant as I live with my mum who is battling cancer, I am also registered disabled and have health problems. I should only ever of paid enough to cover the standing charge on gas& elec with a bit extra for lighting when I went to check the house, & gas in severe cold I joined you in Jan 2020 you ceased trading couple months ago and sent my final bill which said I owed you almost £1000!! Where the hell did you get that figure from? For a vacant house! I’ve kept all my emails of pics sent to you of my meters. I asked politely on so many occasions to sort it out, obviously nobody at green was bothered. Now Green has the Audacity to demand this final payment or threaten me with collection agencies& administrators!! You should be ashamed of yourselves…I contacted Offgem they can’t do anything as Green are no longer trading. British gas who I’ve been passed to said I have to wait another 10 days before I can raise the dispute with them, then only god knows how long that will take you to provide them with the correct info? Will I ever get my money back?? Or has it gone into your CEO’s bank acc never to be seen by me again! Truly abysmal shocking customer service! full of inconsistencies and incompetence! The worst company I have ever dealt with, nobody seems to know what to do or how to do it!! Shame on you for making me sick with worry about collection of a debt that I don’t owe when I should be devoting my time and energy caring for my mum who is battling NETs!!

Absolute shambles

Absolute shambles. Despite sending in pictures of meter readings when asked ( I think 3 in the month before they went bust including a final one) I have received a highly over estimated final bill through a no reply email. Shell tell me this has happened to hundreds of customers but ultimately Shell are only interested in the new account with them being set up correctly moving forward. Obviously no one left at Green, the mediators cannot help and Ombudsman Services can’t deal with the complaint as Green have stopped trading. My reminder I received today to say I haven’t paid money that I don’t owe says failure to pay will mean I get contacted by Greens administrators an outfit called Alvarez and Marsal or a collection agency. I cannot believe hundreds of incorrect final bills have been sent out and there is no procedure in place to rectify the issue and ultimately pay the correct amount. Pathetic.
