Shocking booking process
Shocking booking process, can’t amend anything without a charge of £20 for everything - terrible customer experience
New Years Eve getaway at Rockley Park
New Years Eve getaway at Rockley Park. Well where do you start! Entered the caravan on arrival dirty carpet microwave filthy as was the oven - who ever cleaned it needs to go to Specsavers (other companies available). There was a broom in the cupboard full of hair and filthy I would clean out a pigsty with it, no mop , no can opener . The lack of cups for the amount of people - I could go on and on. The main thing the key didn’t lock reported this to reception gave me another key which again didn’t fit, had to leave the caravan unlocked again back to reception when a very rude security person wish I had taken his name he was Scottish that’s all I have as he needs sacking. In your face pointing fingers telling me I needed to come with him. No this is my break which I have paid for thank you ….they needed to sort this out all in all a new door lock needed, why aren’t these things picked up. The park is pretty and the setting lovely BUT the caravans and maintenance is very very poor. The security guards on New Years Eve, I thought we were in a family environment not a night club in a city, I understand they need security Incase something happens but you don’t need Security guards with cameras recording kiddies at 7 o’clock on the dance floor constantly walking around which was very intimidating for family’s lots of people were commenting about it. One security guard not sure if that would be his title was rude very aggressive and in your face. This really needs addressing if they think that this level of security is warranted around families then they need to rethinking their New Year approach. This is the second time we have as a family of 12 have gone for the celebrations and this is the last. Been on loads and loads of Haven holidays over the years with my family and they certainly have gone down hill.
Thieving cleaning /maintenance staff
It was the end of the year and I was taking my autistic daughter away for a short break to give her mother a break so she could set up for Christmas .
We went swimming a couple of times, though the app didn't work, it was an average experience.
At the end of the break while exiting the caravan my daughter snuck back in to the small room with her Amazon fire tablet,
I didn't know she had taken the tablet in with her, it wasn't until we were 20 miles south of Oxford that she announced that it had been left behind in the caravan,
I immediately pulled over at Didcot services and called rockley park and explained the situation
18 sunset terrace (they know who cleaned that van or went into maintain that van)
This was two hours after we had left the caravan locked.
The reply was naa nothing found in that caravan.
The integrity of the either maintenance or cleaning staff leaves much to be desired.
We will never return to that haven site ever as some of the staff are very dishonest and are happy to rob and child with learning difficulties the conduit she uses to communicate and learn.
It wasn't ever put in to lost property despite chasing them up several times.
I would advise being very careful with anything valuable as there are some unscrupulous people employed by that haven site.
If I could give zero stars I would.
I do not recommend this caravan park
Everything is an add-on, very expensive
Haven website - probably the worst experiences i’ve had trying to book a break. Even out of season everything is an extra, even parking! I won’t be staying with Haven again. Sadly i didn’t read the Trustpilot reviews, another lesson learned there then. 16231931

I have a holiday booked for March and it seems as if you can only complain if on site or when you have completed your holiday.
Using chat service is pathetic as it only provides you with leaflets.
Why do they not just have a complaints email address.
Can't even answer a simple question as to what activities are included in leisure pass. Should have stuck with Butlins - seriously regret booking with Haven - second rate
Have emailed the head office and they do not reply.
AVOID
AVOID! Not safe! I have never been so disgusted and furious with any place as must as I am at Hafan yr mor. The way they completely disregarded my just turned 18 year old daughter safety and her friends. My daughter decided for her 18th birthday she would treat her friends to a holiday that she booked 6 months. On the day of the holiday they sent an email cancelling the holiday due to failed identity check. My daughter put the wrong address of our house by one number. Ok this was a mistake by her part. I understand this but to cancel it. So the morning of we had to book another holiday in which the price increased by 315 pound. We paid it and it was confirmed as paid. So off she went with all her friends on the 2 hour journey in a taxi. Then when she got there she was confronted by them saying it was cancelled again due to identity check as my daughter did not have her bank card. (Since when did this confirm your identity) her bank card was on her phone. She had her birth certificate as she hasn't got her provisional license yet. They did not ask for this anyway. I offered to drive the 2 hours with her bank card but they said it was already cancelled. They then escorted the group of friends of the site with security. No care of they had no where to go. No care to their safety. No care to it getting dark. No care what's so ever. They have completely put my daughter and her friends at risk stranded. I will be taking this further and taking legal action. Disgusted. The other parents of the other 6 kids that will be also complaining and taking this further. I believe they made up any excuse not to allow the 7 young teenagers. If they didn't want a group then when they book and you have to put the ages of everyone. Why allow them to pay and confirm the holiday.
Nasty company.... Avoid.
Booked two caravans for 3 days in March 26,driver is ill, can no longer go, I paid for insurance, cancelled, now they want medical proof the total refund is only £80.These companies make me sick, take your money then avoid paying out. The driver is very ill, I cannot get documents to prove. Its not a large amount of money.
Smelly smelly flea ridden van
Just back from a weekend at the Cleethorpes Beach haven holiday park. We booked a dog friendly caravan but did not expect the van to STINK of dog, my allergies kicked in within about 10 minutes of being in the van.
I went to check in to speak to somebody about the van to be met by an extremely sarcastic member of staff who simply said, “you’re in a dog friendly caravan and you didn’t expect it to smell of dog” well no I didn’t.
Then when I mentioned my allergies he again gave a sarcastic reply…my dog is hypoallergenic so does not affect my allergies.
The sofas were all stained, the curtains hanging off, no beds were made and no bedding to make the beds up I had to ring for somebody to bring bedding.
My partner has come away with flea bites and we’ve had to deal with-flea the dog now we’re home.
No way will we stay again. Yes it was cheap as it was out of season but just charge a little more and maybe clean the vans.
Primrose valley FILTHY
Location itself is fine have admit with others the caravans are filthy they clearly just get a quick wipe over. Extractor fans are filthy no idea how they expect them to operate correctly when there filled with dust and muck. The shower tray is holding all the water when turned on can only imagine what’s inside the shower tray waste tray waste a build up of hair and all sorts.
Carpets clearly just get hoovered and never cleaned properly they look tired and filthy. Around the base of the toilet and behind the sink looks like urine disgusting
We are staying at hafen y mor
We are staying at hafen y mor at the moment.
Any issues, requesting, questions etc have all be met with the most helpful members of staff. Loads for my children to do, great entertainment.. only problem this week has been the weather ( rain )🤣
Disgusting
Disgusting. Booked a upgraded to a gold caravan at the Kent Coast Rochester .Absolutely disgusting, yes it was dog friendly, but to have stains all over the carpets and sofas, we had to put sheets over the sofas to cover the stains. No bedding made up for a gold caravan. This is the second time I've stayed here in as many yrs, but doubt I will again. After paying over £500 for 3 nights.
Not happy.
Reighton sands
Fab four nite stay in a silver two bed 19 bay view.beautiful clear sea views from inside and out on decking.caravan was spotless no issues at all very Moden and very clean.staff were all very friendly.
We recently stayed at the Haven Devon…
We recently stayed at the Haven Devon Cliffs holiday park in Exmouth Devon.
As a family who wanted to get away for a few days we upgraded to a Signature Gold caravan with a sea view,at an additional upgrade cost of £205. which looked very nice on the Haven website for the park and caravan.
Upon arriving at the holiday park and being greeted by a member of the security team, who was very unhelpful with giving directions to the static caravan, we eventually found where we would be staying for the weekend.
Upon entering the caravan and removing the sticky piece of tape that had been adhered to the entrance to the caravan, which looked like a crime scene. We were greeted with the bedroom windows that had been left wide open in a very wet and blustery gale force day.the smell of wet dog was also very noticeable, eventhough no dogs are allowed in the caravan. Upon further inspection of the caravan it was in a very dirty state, beds made very poor, cobwebs in the corner of the kitchen and bedroom areas, very rusty radiators, the carpeted area was very dirty, old socks and other items pushed under the settee, dirty pvc door frames that hadn't been cleaned in a long time, the shower head was leaking water and shower tray very insecure. I have sent photos to the Customer service team / complaints department and have not received any explanation to my concerns or a letter of apology or gesture of goodwill.
The overall experience was a waste of £400, this experience has caused distress to my family, who were all looking forward to spending time together. I will never book another holiday at a Haven holiday park.
Orchards Essex
The reason I am writing this is solely because, when you are in the main bar/entertainment area...WHY is the music so loud &full of base/echo that you just can't understand any of the word that are spoken/sung..And throughout the evening your throat is getting sore from all the shouting above the deafening music to have a conversation to the people you're with. And the same for them also. This is NOT ENJOYMENT ITs TORTURE. !!
TONE IT DOWN & TAKE THE BASE OFF A BIT MAK IT MORE OF A PLEASURABLE EXPERIENCE
Combe haven (Hastings) If I…
Stayed at Combe haven (Hastings) If I could give a zero I would! Large booking, including children and a baby. The caravans were disgusting! Mould and dirt on the sofa bed sheets, dirty glasses, dirty shorts and pants down the side of the sofa, dirty tissues under one of the beds which was also broken, not to mention one smelling of stale smoke and the other smelling like rotten fish, to be told the drip tray wasn’t cleaned. When telling reception we were simply told they were fully booked so put up with it!
padgham near Chichester
I went to padgham near Chichester, for three or four days and had a reasonable time. The caravan was good although there were a few issues, and the food was okay, and the swimming pool was quite good. overall quite a good time
Extremely disappointing stay at Rockley Sands – definitely not worth the money
We were so looking forward to our stay at Rockley Sands, especially with Haven’s reputation, but the whole experience was a huge letdown.
We paid over £800 for four nights in a caravan, expecting something clean and comfortable. Instead, the carpets were filthy and the boiler cupboard door was broken — things that should have been sorted long before anyone checked in.
Although the park is advertised as dog friendly, that really wasn’t the case. We were only allowed in the Mash and Barrel with our dog and were turned away from everywhere else, including the Sports Bar. To make matters worse, I was shouted at by three staff members for briefly walking into the shop with our dog. It was aggressive, unnecessary, and very upsetting — especially since the signage around the park is unclear about where dogs are actually allowed.
The overall hospitality and facilities were poor too. Drinks at the Mash and Barrel were served in plastic cups (even wine), the fish and chip shop had run out of fish by 6pm, and we couldn’t order pizza because the app said delivery wasn’t available and we weren’t allowed into the foyer to order in person. It felt like every part of the experience was a hassle.
After our stay, we contacted Haven to share our concerns, but the response we got was just a generic, copy-and-paste message that didn’t address anything we said or offer any kind of resolution. It honestly felt like they didn’t care at all.
Overall, our stay was massively disappointing and nowhere near the standard we expected from Haven. Between the poor accommodation, lack of clarity around being dog friendly, unhelpful staff, and the dismissive response afterwards, we’ll definitely be looking elsewhere in the future. We do not recommend this Haven site to anyone.
Security Haven Perran Sands
Haven Perran Sands is such an amazing place to be. We come every year. But I just want to say the security team in the live lounge are absolutely amazing. Les and his team go above and beyond for everyone. I also want to say a huge thank you to Les and the rest of the team for some amazing laughs and give them all the credit they deserve.
Havens Weymouth Bay site
We went to Havens Weymouth bay caravan park. Super close to beach, great facilities and activities and the caravan we stayed in was beyond expectations. Great app for info and booking everything from activities to food deliveries to caravan. Everyone super friendly and helpful. But I wanna give a massive shout out and thanks to the entertainment team. They all really love their jobs. One young lady (Ellie from kent I think) really made an effort to come out to the park with characters to help entice my then shy son to join in activities inside and made such an effort. He loved it after that! Will most definitely return!
