Shocking. Tiny portions. Overcooked chicken. Wrong items. Disgusting oiliness. I will NEVER order from these again. Don't fall for all the fake reviews

Great service, tasty food and good sized portions! A deffo must try!

We ordered a selection of items for takeaway on Friday evening, hoping to entice my Dad, who is unwell, to enjoy a meal. The ordering process was quite straightforward, with comment boxes available for any allergies or special requests. The restaurant kindly called us to confirm our order, and it was delivered in a timely manner, arriving hot. This was my first experience with the Jerk Joint, and I must say, it was one of the best takeaways I've had in quite some time. The food was incredibly tasty and flavourful, (somewhat spicy but good!) and I find myself already looking forward to my next order! The jerk chicken was delightful, and I even enjoyed a leftover piece the next day. My mum is vegetarian, and we appreciated that there were options available for her. We chose the sweet potato and chickpea curry, which was very good. It was also my first time trying goat curry, and I found it excellent. The rice and peas were delicious as well. I will certainly be recommending your restaurant and look forward to ordering again soon. Thank you very much for a wonderful meal!

The food is always good and the service from The Jerk Joint was wonderful.

We placed a big order to try most of the food on menu , jerk chicken was nice and fried chicken was also nice , the rice and peas didn’t have no flavour needed more coconut cream , mac and cheese had a cheesy top but again not enough flavour, curry prawns was ok , jerk salmon wasn’t for us would of preferred salmon fillet Instead of steak last thing was the fried dumplings and festival these were overly fried and very dry with a very oily outing was quite disappointed with these as it’s a favourite in our household, patties are all nice

I went there with 7 friends last night as part of a monthly outing we do trying out new restaurants each month. This was our first time to The Jerk Joint and I'm recommending it to everyone I know. The food was delicious with large portions, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely go back again.

Phone ordered to pick up. Waited two minutes. Staff were very friendly and polite. Nice vibe (music) and atmosphere. Food was full of flavours, and plentiful (curried goat, rice and peas plus sides). Ordered different meals previously, loved it...(The Jerk chicken meal is a must), Price was very competitive. Great service with a smile.

The food was mouth watering, the customer service was excellent.

We decided a few days ahead to have an impromptu group meal/gathering. We called & spoke briefly about our requirements. We were reassured that a platter could be arranged. Upon delivery all were very pleasantly surprised by the size of portions & strength of flavours. Very competitively priced also. The leftovers, of which there were many, were gratefully received

Service was a bit slow , but most caribbean restaurants are. friendly staff but food was a bit greasy on this occasion and a bit more on the plate for the money spent i think . i had a bad after taste after eating not sure why? it is new establishment and reveiws are made to inform and make things better .good luck

The Jerk Joint recently catered our wedding. Our guests were extremely happy with compliments that are still happening in conversation. The team were dressed in uniform and were ready for work. With waiters who were polite to guests and food portions that were generous. The jerk chicken was perfection and we are grateful and extremely happy with your service. Thank you x

Great food, always something different on the menu, loads of variety. We went twice just in the opening week! It’s always busy, with queues out the door when I’ve been there. Staff are all super friendly, happy to reccomend things and answer any questions. Our food came very quickly and we’ll definitely be back - have to try everything else on the menu too!

Went to to new shop in hoddesdon. Very slow service. Had to wait over 50 min for food. Chicken was chicken thighs full of fat and grease hardly any chicken. Rice looked like microwave rice. Paid over £35 for 2 lots of chicken and rice. A joke. Should of gone to Tesco and made it my self for half the prise. Never going bank. Waist of time and money.

Great food, great vibe.

First and foremost the food is full of flavour and the portions are 'healthy'.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming and needless to say the restaurant has been open just a couple of weeks and i've been there 3 times.

I’ve used TJJ a couple of times for family functions and they are amazing! The food is tasty, the team is reliable, the portions are generous and my guests are always impressed. I recommend the lamb and the jerk chicken in particular. Thank you Viv and Kev!
