Thank you so much Prince Evans Solicitors for the quick process of selling and buying my property. I recommend these hard working staff and conveyancers from Prince Evans especially Ms Kinza Majid for her tireless efforts and efficient service to make the process easy & smoothly.

Per my previous review of Prince Evans negligent service, which cost me financially, caused me significant levels of stress, and could have jeopardised my property sale overall - I’m pleased to hear today that the Legal Ombudsman has decided to progress my case considering the evidence provided. Take this as a warning before instructing them on your property sale or purchase!

As an executor, I faced the problem of a complex property sale to be conducted at considerable geographical distance. Kinza Majid managed the sale successfully, always keeping me promptly engaged and informed, whilst liaising with the other parties involved in a personable manner which inspired confidence.

Refreshing experience to deal with a solicitor who was quick to respond, a clear communicator and didn't need continual chasing to complete their actions. Kinza was professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with throughout the process and I would highly recommend to friends and family. I was a little concerned at the start, as the solicitor we engaged left the company a few weeks afterwards, but when Kinza took over, all worries were erased and it ended up being the best experience I have had in dealing with solicitors for many a year.

I would not recommend Prince Evans based on my overall experience across multiple instructions.

The first time I used the firm, the matter was handled poorly and I had to get heavily involved myself to stop the transaction from going wrong.

The second and third instructions (both simple staircasing matters) were handled efficiently — but only because they were dealt with by Salman Zia, who was excellent. He has since left the firm.

My fourth instruction exposed a clear decline in standards. The pricing was inconsistent, over-inflated, and did not align with the firm’s own published fees or with the fees charged on my previous matters. I raised these concerns in good faith, yet the response from Coralie Phelan was dismissive and unhelpful, with no willingness to review or explain the obvious discrepancies.

During a separate conversation, Joe Rice confirmed that the pricing published on their website is out of date — which makes the refusal to align the quote even more concerning from a transparency and client-care perspective.

I obtained comparative quotes from other solicitors, all of which were far clearer, more professional, and significantly more competitive.

Based on my experience, I would recommend Cavendish, Ackroyd Legal, and Tinklin Springall instead. These firms provided better transparency, communication, and value from the outset.

Unfortunately, despite being a returning client, I experienced poor communication, lack of consistency, and no willingness to resolve reasonable concerns. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend them.

My solicitor Kinza Majid is being professional and helpful. Kinza answered my calls and questions within 2 days, explained legal documents in detailed, provided face to face meeting and made sure the sellers answers my questions and followed the deadline. I will highly recommend Kinza to my friends and family.

Incompetent and negligent. I almost lost a lot of money because of Prince Evans on my property purchase. They didn't follow-up on crucial points or obtain critical documentation. And they're now refusing to take accountability or reimburse me for my new solicitors fees, who has had to spend time clearing their mess up. Reporting to the Financial Ombudsman and SRA as a result. Do NOT trust them!

Karla Dudley did an outstanding job. She took over the sale of our house and purchase of the new one halfway through the process so she was instantly in at the deep end, especially as it was a complicated purchase and the timeframe was extremely ambitious.

If I could give 0 stars I would, this organisation is unbelievably poor. They were non responsive for 8 weeks during the purchase of my unoccupied property in Feb 2022, ignoring my calls and emails which took 5 months to complete due to Prince Evans being so slow and incompetent. Now I have come to sell the property, with a different solicitor of course, and it transpires that the land registry I paid Prince Evans £270 to complete in Feb 2022, was never applied for. I have subsequently lost my buyer and onward purchase due to Prince Evans negligence, to which they absurdly accept no liability, without acknowledging their fault of not registering the property when instructed 3 years ago. Worst service experienced, do not use this solicitor.

Jenny worked diligently and very efficiently within a challenging time frame and secured a smooth completion. Her work was outstanding, always replying promptly and clearly. I highly recommend Jenny Lovern for anyone seeking an experienced and effective solicitor with the best service.

I'm not one for writing reviews too often, but I have to single out the excellent Jenny Lovern, who heads up the conveyancing team at Prince Evans. I've been involved in a substantial amount of property sales over many years, but my most recent one was by far the most frustrating and complex. Despite challenging circumstances throughout, Jenny managed the whole process in an extremely calm, reassuring and professional manner, which in turn made me confident that she'd get us to completion - even when at times it looked like we wouldn't! Jenny is also a great communicator, always updating and responding in a timely and clear manner, as well as being an absolute pleasure to deal with. I can't recommend her highly enough
