SunLife Gift card EXPIRY !!! Take note !!!

Be very careful when receiving gift cards to take note of expiry dates. I have 2 policies which promote and confirm the gift cards without any warning about expiry dates.
On phoning SunLife they weren’t in the slightest bit interested in what I had to say stating the expiry date was written on the letter that accompanied the card when issued. I can’t confirm otherwise but it would be helpful to warn customers on the actual policy letters which you obviously keep because they contain policy details whilst simultaneously very graphically promoting the gift cards without any warning of expiry whatsoever.
I wonder how many people fall victim to such stealth. You would expect SunLife to be crystal clear and even warn people when gift cards are nearing expiry.
