We were serviced by Tucker in the…Gilford Office
We were serviced by Tucker in the Gilford office and he was a very helpful and cooperative representative. He answered my questions and helped me process my bank business.
Late Transaction Posting and Improper Fees
They post transactions late, charge interest even when the balance is paid in full, and apply overlimit fees despite declining transactions when there are insufficient funds.
This has been the worst experience with…
This has been the worst experience with a bank. The customer service is terrible, and the online banking app is constantly down for maintenance. I had trouble resetting my pin and they made it so difficult. They asked for two pieces of ID, but I only had my driver’s license and credit cards in my name, which they didn’t accept. They insisted I bring my passport, so I showed them a picture of it, but they still wouldn’t accept that either. I’m a cancer patient, and I struggled so much just to get there and wait for service. I explained that I’m very sick and it’s hard for me to return, but despite having my cards, license, a picture of my passport, and even being able to log into my online account, they still refused to help me.
This all started with a simple contact…
This all started with a simple contact person transfer for a small business account (just a club) from one person to another and a change in the business address. We wanted to meet in person but had to go through getting assistance by telephone, from what I assume was someone working from home. That person only had to do two things - and she screwed up on both. She misspelled my 5-letter last name and did not change the business address after we talked about it. She sent me email later indicating that the address did not get changed and when I had a question about that I never got a reply. Subsequently it took five more visits to my branch to solve all the problems.
I showed up at my branch to get a bank card for the business. Since all my personal banking is through TD as well as the business, I asked if the accounts could be linked so that I can transfer money electronically between accounts. I was told this would not be a problem. The person had trouble linking the accounts, and as it was taking a long time, she took my name and phone number and said she would call me back in a couple of days when she figured it out – she never called.
I went back to my branch the following week and got a different teller and after explaining what happened on my last visit, he was able to determine that my name was spelt incorrectly on the business account, he corrected it and was able to link all my accounts. The teller from the week before came out of the back and I called her out saying she never got back to me as promised. After hemming and hawing she made some lame excuse for not getting back to me. Since this new teller seemed competent, I explained the situation w.r.t the address change. The teller said he did not have the authority do the address change and that I would have to come back when a manger was there. I came back the next day and when a different teller called over the manger to do the change the manager said that he did not need his permission and that he could do it himself. More of my time wasted.
A few days later I had an opportunity to use my business bank card to make a small purchase. At this point I discovered that my card was not set up for POS or ATMs. Why in the world would they think that I would never use the bank card to make purchase is beyond me. I was in the same plaza as the bank so I went over there for the fourth time. They were able to fix the problem.
It didn’t end there. A couple of months later TD threatened me that my business account would be terminated by the end of the year if I did not provide the change of address information. I contacted TD about this and we had to set up another meeting (over the phone), with another “Business Specialist”. After explaining what has happened so far, he assured me that everything was finally sorted out.
I have no other way to describe my TD experience other then a Sh*t Show. I would never recommend anyone to use any TD services in the future. I am most certain that if we were able to meet someone in person the first time none of this would have happened. I blame TD for bending over backwards for their shareholders and leaving the customers holding the bag.
On hold
On hold, twice, for almost an hour, and I still do not have an answer to why a check I deposited through the mov app on Thursday still hasn’t cleared
Was a customer for 50 years and had all…
Was a customer for 50 years and had all of my business with TD. When it came time to retire, I needed a little help converting RRSP into RIF and LIRA into LIF accounts. They couldn’t figure it out!!
After many months of appointments and phone calls, I finally threw in the towel and moved everything to another bank. USELESS!! Never setting foot in another TD bank
BUSINESSES BEWARE!!!
I have banked with TD for several years for my personal accounts and have not experienced any major issues but... BUSINESSES BEWARE!!! The staff in the branch is use is great, but the "back office" is a nightmare to deal with. Opened my business account with them a few days ago, I was making transactions as usual, then the account is locked. WTF! I go I to my branch and I honestly feel that they did all they could but there was NO response to the email sent from branch management to higher ups in the so called back office. A bunch of BS and I will be taking my business elsewhere as soon as I can remove my funds from TD, not only my business account, but all my personal banking as well, disgusted.
So I've been with this bank for…
So I've been with this bank for years, have a lot of money in this bank! But I have to do my taxes before I go away and I still haven't received my 1099 from this terrible bank. So I go into the bank and I said could you please print me up a 1099 I have to do my taxes before I go away and I still haven't received my statement. Well obviously it's to take my license and TD Bank card and I have to sign in any sitting at his computer for a good 45 minutes. I'm starting to get frustrated and say what's going on why does it take so long to print out a tax form. He said just hold on I have to go see my manager and the manager who's dumber than anybody else in the bank says he has to wait they weren't sent out until January 31st. So I'm upset and I just said this is bologna I'm just going to take all my money out of this bank when I finally get my tax return which I still haven't received in the mail I got my other banks tax forms but they set all ours is in New Jersey so I looked at the guy and I said you know what I just had a letter sent a couple days ago took two days to get here from New York where I used to live. So somebody's not telling the truth he said there's nothing I can do sir. So I go to another TD Bank and I'm ready and to give it to this representative and I sit down and I said you know do you live in Lexington do you always get your mail because there's a lot of mail I don't get. I got a dentist bill a couple months ago it still hasn't come. I had to go into the dentist to pay. He said well what do you need I said I just need my tax 1099 and I was at another bank and they said I had to wait and he said that's baloney he said I going to look it up right now within 2 minutes I had mine tax statement but still no tax has come in the mail I even have some neighbors that are with TD Bank and they're complaining too and they still haven't received theirs because they want to do their taxes! This is how bad TD Bank is with helping their customers. At least I got my tax form but this just should have never happened. They lied to me about being late because of the weather know you're late because you're late you don't care about your customers anyways that's my review! Hopefully TD Bank gets better with their customer service and taking care of their customers!
If there were an option for a zero-star…
If there were an option for a zero-star rating, TD Bank would certainly earn it. My experience with this institution has been nothing short of a financial nightmare. I have found their fee structures to be predatory and their customer service to be completely indifferent to the needs of their clients.
The most frustrating part was watching my account fall into a negative balance due to a cascade of overdraft fees—fees that were often triggered by the bank’s own processing delays. Despite the fact that these charges were a direct result of their internal system, they stubbornly refused to refund the full amount, essentially profiting off of a cycle of debt they helped create. It feels less like a partnership and more like they are actively robbing their customers.
If you value your hard-earned money and your peace of mind, do yourself a favor and stay far away from TD Bank. There are plenty of other institutions that actually treat their members with respect.
I requested a small limit increase
I requested a small limit increase, but the bank raised it far beyond my request, then reversed it and issued a new card. During the process, my card limit was cut without warning, causing a declined purchase. Support was unhelpful and didn't resolve the issue. So far, things with #Stovëx #Global have worked as expected. Support replies in a timely manner, and I haven't had issues when it comes time to receive my funds.
I’ve been banking with TD with my…
I’ve been banking with TD with my company and my personal accounts for 25 years and did so with not so many complaints. However, now I’m a complete stranger every time I go into my bank to deposit they put lengthy holds on checks that come from huge reputable companies and that they’ve put through an a manager has signed off on but now they’re more than happy to tell you to make a complaint online which you will get nowhere. This coupled with I decided long ago to get TD travel rewards with my Visa credit card. Well you’re forced to book your trip through Expedia. I had nothing but problems before I left on my most recent trip and then when we were in a Third World country found out in the middle of the night that my accommodation for the remainder of my holiday was cancelled and told by their customer service they couldn’t help us because they were in Turkey and didn’t have the resources we ended up getting put up by a hotel owner, and then found our own accommodation for the remainder of our stay at prime time I had booked our trip months in advance, and the only thing they would offer is the difference in the amount I paid for the room no kindness no he will cover your trip because we wrecked your entire trip. No accountability. It’s just a joke of red tape. I’ve had ATB prosper approach me. I’m doing a bunch of other banking with them. They seem to be set up and seem to care about their clients at TD. They couldn’t care less. I literally put 20 to 40,000 through that Visa credit card a month it doesn’t matter they don’t care they won’t miss any chance to opt charge you though but hey, if you want to be treated like a customer that you have value to their company, forget it terrible company all the way around

Worst bank ever
This is the worst banking this is the worst banking institution ever institution…
This is the worst banking institution in Canada. I’ve had an account with them for four years. They locked my account due to some fraud claim made me drive 45 minutes into a branch so that I could show them. I am who I say I am and all I was doing was transferring money from one account to another account both accounts in my name.
The bank needs to hire more employees…
The bank needs to hire more employees to answer the phone. I have been waiting 1 hour on hold. This happens to me just about every time I want to deposit in my account, an transfer sent to me. What happens? I cannot connect the bank. If I call, I need to wait for ever, or I do not get any answer, I am put on hold.
This bank blocked mine and girlfriend’s…
This bank blocked mine and girlfriend’s cards because of purchases at few dollars at shops and supermarkets abroad. No access to mobile phone = cant get verification code = cant verify ourselves = cant unlock the cards and no access to money abroad 😂😂😂 -5 out of 5
TD staff do not give accurate…
TD staff do not give accurate information in regard to Power of Attorneys. Despite multiple meetings in multiple cities TD personnel consistently refused to process a POA. They insisted on putting my name as a joint name on the account and is issuing Tslips with my name on it. Despite reporting the tax under my parents' filing, CRA is reassessing based on the Tslip. The online phone personnel tell provided inaccurate information about CRA and told me to go to the branch to have the Tfiling changed and the branch told me to go online
My company main bank account with TD…
My company main bank account with TD over 21 years, it was great with TD in the past. All staff and manger was nice but that is the past. I finally had enough with their new management and policies and disconnected our main account with TD and move all to RBC. I suggest the new CEO should be fired from TD
Very corrupt organization
Lone sharks! Run from this bank unless you want to be ripped off. I have dealt with a lot of banks and this is probably the most corrupt blatantly crooked organizations I’ve ever dealt with. They are corrupt. Perfect example of how Banks gets so big that they have no accountability. I have filed a complaint with federal banking commission detailing my experience with this corrupt organization.
Looking for another bank!
I have has TD banking for years. This was the first bank I used to open an account. I loved it. But now I have to have a minimum of $250 in my account. For those of us who live pay check to pay check, this is very hard. I understood when it was $100. It went up $150! That is crazy! I'm now looking for another bank because I need that money. Very upset about this especially when I get a $15 fee for going under.
Overpaid on my account so they refunded…
Overpaid on my account so they refunded me my 200$. Went to deposit it into my bank and my bank said the TD Bank put a stop on the check. Called TD 4-5 times already and they keep giving me the run around. Talk to a supervisor and she said it’d take 7,10,13 business days because it has to be investigated on why they stopped the check. They told me this too the 3rd time I called always different excuses. This was back in November I deposited. Called 12/25.
