Both the student experience and teacher experience have been amazing on Teach Your Monster. My students love it so much because it is so much more like a game! They are more motivated to complete other work when they know they get to play, and they are learning. I love hearing students say the sounds and words with their headphones on! The teacher side is super easy and I love that I can play the games myself to see what the students are working on. Adding and deleting players is so simple and I love that we can create groups. My favorite is the login link! I can share this anywhere and my students can login quickly.
I am an English as a Second Language teacher (ESL) in an American public school in the Midwest. I use this program as a phonics and decoding support for my English Learners. They really enjoying following along with the game and growing in their letter name fluency, letter sound fluency and decoding skills. This is a helpful resource for me and my students' classroom teachers.
My school district has limited funds for a reading software motivating and effective for 1st graders. I ran across Teach My Monster to Read which was free and my firsties could not get enough of it. It is challenging with a British accent but practices phonics sounds, sight words, spelling and comprehension of decodable text. This program has fun, engaging games to practice the skills. There are certificates and stars (points) to keep motivation high. We love it!!
I am a first grade teacher and my students LOVE Teach Your Monster! They cheer when I tell them we are going go to the website. It is so engaging and supportive of what we are learning in our classroom. We have used all of the components of Teach Your Monster and have found them all to be quality learning experiences!

I am a technology teacher in a K-1 building and I use this program with hundreds of students. The player management side does become onerous, but it's worth the effort. I use it to teach/review phonics skills as well as how to use our Chromebooks/how the website responds to inputs. We use QR badges to log into Chromebooks, but it doesn't work for TYM. However, I appreciate the opportunity to set the username for students (I make it simpler and closer to the students' names than our district default). This year I also printed out the progress trackers and students use highlighters to keep track of where their monster is. I recommend doing this, it is also extra effort but the kids respond really well to it and better understand the game itself as a result.

I use Teach your Monster with my kindergarten and first grades. This program I learned about as a classroom teacher in a different district. After becoming media specialist, I introduced it to my k-1 teachers. They have been requesting it now. It is amazing how the kids are navigating the computer skills elements in addition to learning and reviewing academic elements!! They love it. The program seems to glitch too often but that is another skill the students are learning to navigate independently!

I love Teach Your Monster! I have taught 1st and 2nd grade and have utilized it in both! It has multiple games that can fit any student! It has teach your monster to read, and reading for fun! As well as number skills and adventurous eating. It’s an amazing app I have been using for years and will continue to use.

My Kindergarten students love this game on their Chromebooks! I use it as a bonus fun reading activity once their other work has been completed, but they usually do not HAVE to use this one. However, they almost always do, as it is engaging and fun for them. They also learn well along the way!

I love this program. I first used it with my grandson when he was 2 years old. He's 11 now. He loved playing the games and did so well with remembering the letter sounds. I recommend this program to all my friends (and parents in school).
I also use the program for some of the children in the school I work in. It's a game but they are learning as they play and the game can be continued at home on any web browser. Some children just learn a different way and this program really helps with that. There are 4 games to choose from now. I also like the number game.

My kindergarteners love Teach Your Monster to Read! It is so engaging for them to explore, learn, and practice! I'm still learning how to assess all the data for individual students, so I'm hoping it will show me specific information that I'm looking for. I found it originally when I was teaching 2nd grade and they loved it, too! They especially loved graduating out to the next program up. That really showed me where so many of them had learning gaps.

First graders here in Maine absolutely love Teach Your Monster! When it isn’t on our daily schedule, they immediately ask why. It’s hands down their favorite app to use, and they’re always excited when it’s part of our day.

The Teacher Your Monster to Read game has been a wonderful phonics game for not only my students but also my family. It's a great app to start with to help out with their sounds.

This is a high-quality site that reinforces reading and math skills. Students love the game-based play and frequently ask to play it at home. I use this in a K-5 setting and cannot recommend it enough.

I've tried multiple reading apps and the Teach Your Monster series and DuoLingo ABC are the best. Don't bother getting any other app. This is worth the small cost in the US, I believe it's free in the UK and it's free in the US during National Reading Week. My husband is a video game developer and a former BAFTA Video Game Judge so I know a poorly designed app when I see one, this is a great app. I've never encountered any bugs and I've been using it for 2 children for several years. It teaches children to read, it's genuinely fun and it doesn't market or have extra payable parts to unlock. All the Teach Your Monster apps are great, my son loves the mathematics one too.

Teach your Monster is awesome!
As a classroom teacher I'm always looking for ways to utilize technology in appropriate and meaningful ways. Teachyourmonster.org is so engaging and helps children solidify their prereading skills, as well as number skills in the math section! I always recommend it to parents and coworkers.

The Teacher Your Monster to Read games are extremely motivational and fun for children to play. I have used them successfully with classes in years 1 and 2 and for 1:1 phonics tutoring up to year 6.
The Teach your Monster maths game seems pitched younger, I have used it for 1:1 tutoring but the graphics and sounds seem better pitched for younger children so it seems good but more suited to 3-6 year olds and was less good than the reading games for using with older children.
