Vinted used to be good, but now many fake sellers and useless support
Vinted used to be a really good platform, but those days are clearly over. By now, the app is full of sellers who are obviously just resellers pushing fake items – and Vinted does absolutely nothing about it.
What really makes this worse is the ridiculous 2-day window to report a problem. Two days is a joke, especially if you don’t open or properly check an item immediately. And when you do contact support, you don’t get real help anyway. You just get copy-paste answers and are basically brushed off as quickly as possible.
The double standard is what annoys me the most. I have personally received warnings from Vinted, even though I have never sold fake items in my life. Some of my listings were deleted without any transparent explanation. But when I actually bought a fake product from another user, reported it (unfortunately after 2 days), and even pointed out that this person keeps re-uploading the same fake item with the same pictures over and over again – nothing happened. The listings stayed up. The seller stayed active.
So let me get this straight: honest users get punished, but obvious fake sellers can continue as if nothing happened?
At this point, using Vinted is just frustrating. The app is no longer fun, no longer trustworthy, and definitely not what it used to be. If you care about buyer protection and a fair marketplace, you should seriously think twice before relying on Vinted now.

Vinted allows to sell perfumes with no orginal packaging, unsealed and also used. This is against health and hygienic conditions.

Vinted is a Great App. You can find cool vintage clothes and accessories or basic stuff for a cheap price. You can also discover your own style or sell things from your home like old clothes or decorations. Vinted is great for everyone 💕
All the people are very friendly and you can negotiate with them. I already bought lost of stuff that I really like. And also sold some pieces.

Actually, I really liked Vinted at the beginning. I could list many items without any problem. Over time it turned into a small business: at first they were my own things, then my wife’s and daughter’s, and finally items from relatives and friends. Many gifts people didn’t like, etc. Some items are even given to me for free or very cheaply, and I only have to pay for them if I manage to sell them.
The problem is that Vinted has poorly designed listing control mechanisms. A listing can be rejected even if you already published it, and if you update the photos with higher-quality ones, the system may close the listing using the old low-quality photos, even though you were just trying to improve it. Then it tells you that you are no longer allowed to publish that item. That’s just one example, but there are others as well.
In the end, I got tired of how dumb the system is. When you file a complaint, it never goes through. I don’t know whether the review is done by the same system or by a person, but either way, it’s handled badly. I have around 500 items, yet only about 200 are listed on Vinted because it’s very time-consuming to keep trying to publish, edit, and try again.
There are other online selling platforms that work better. It’s a shame, because Vinted is more relaxed in other aspects and has a lot of users. But I don’t make a living from sales, so I’ve more or less abandoned it. It could have been a good side business for me, and I do it because I enjoy it, but the rest of the time I work and can’t spend my precious time dealing with system issues. Hopefully, they’ll improve it someday!

Easy to use App, to get rid of stuff I‘m never using/wearing! However, sometimes I think the algorithm is acting weird when you’re uploading multiple items at once. The engagement is down to zero in these situations. (This is my subjective feeling). Overall a great app!
I have shipped many parcels via Vinted…
I have shipped many parcels via Vinted and never experienced an issue like this before.
In this case, I handed in a parcel correctly at a DPD parcel locker, fully following Vinted’s shipping instructions. I also received an email confirmation from DPD confirming that the parcel was successfully handed in.
Despite this, Vinted states that “the carrier has confirmed the parcel was not sent” and simply cancels the order and refunds the buyer. Proof of hand-in is disregarded. Vinted refers to DPD, DPD refers back to Vinted — and as a seller, you are left without any effective recourse.
This creates the clear impression that responsibility is being passed back and forth between platform and carrier, while the user bears the consequences. If documented proof is not sufficient, sellers effectively have no protection.
This seriously undermines trust in Vinted as a platform.

My recent case: I sold the hoodie which was stolen during the delivery (buyer confirmed that it is not the first time case)
Vinted simply canceled transaction. So I have no money and no hoodie.

I repeatedly pay for Vinted’s Buyer Protection and always use the in-app checkout — and yet, every time I actually need this “protection,” it turns out to be useless.
In cases where items were clearly not as described, with evidence provided on time, I was still required to pay return shipping myself. So I pay extra for Buyer Protection, receive a misrepresented item, and then have to pay again to send it back.
This has happened to me more than once, and at this point it feels misleading to call this “protection” at all. Buyers end up paying twice while sellers face no real consequences for incorrect listings.
Unless Vinted seriously improves how Buyer Protection is applied in cases of misrepresentation, trust in the platform will continue to erode.

"I have been a loyal user of this platform for over 4 years, maintaining a flawless profile with hundreds of 5-star reviews and zero issues. Suddenly, my account was permanently banned for 'violating terms' with no specific explanation.
I have contacted support multiple times, offering evidence and asking for a manual review, but they keep responding with generic, automated messages. They refuse to provide proof of my alleged 'infraction' and have stated the decision is final, even blocking me from creating a new account.
It is pathetic that a company treats its best users like criminals. You have stolen my time, my reputation, and my effort of 4 years. Their 'customer support' is just a wall of bots. Do not trust this app; they can destroy your business and your hard-earned reputation in a second without any justification. SHAMEFUL.
generally its a pretty good app but…
generally its a pretty good app but there are some annoying things that lead to only a 3 star rating: 1. the algorithm is horrible, once you look for a specific item your home page will be ONLY this item. 2. the shipping prices are so expensive, especially if you don’t live in a big city, for example when an item costs 10 bucks it gets to the point where i pay almost 20 because i gotta pay about 3€ for buyers insurance and 6€ for shipping fees. 3. you often times have people selling you items that then come in the wrong size, or damaged and then you have to argue a shit ton for getting your money back of which you only get a part back because the shipping fees again, go on YOU.
